Help! I am totally freaking scared. two puppies from Hatties litter have been diagnosed with Parvo Virus. Hattie seems fine-she had a little runny stools yesterday but I think it was the treats I gave her. none today and they are a soft but formed into stools. she isn't eating much but is very playful. Called my vet and he said test is only true after they have diareha or are throwing up. I am so scared!

I saw the picture of you bringing Hattie home on the plane.  How adorable.  I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now.  I know this is hard to do, but you really have to give this to God.  You have no control over this.  Little Miss Hattie can sense your distress.  Right now she NEEDS you to be strong so she can feel your strength.  That will help you both get through this.  As you know, God doesn't give you anything you can't handle.  So, know that every single one of us Doodle Moms (and Dads) are praying or wishing or hoping that all turns out well.  I pray that you find your inner strength to get you through this.
I'm so sorry you're having to worry about this.  Parvo is scary, but the fact you've been warned means IF symptoms develop you'll be ready and when that is the case chances are very high for quick recovery.

My puppy Boca is a parvo survivor =)  She is a rescue from a litter that was dumped in a kills shelter.  I don't recall how many were in her litter but she and 1 sister survived the parvo =)
Gosh I really don't know.  Maybe Hattie is just a hardy pup--a good thing!  I would think the chances are high they were all exposed to it at some point, but perhaps some ingested more of whatever contained the parvo virus and Hattie didn't get as much.  There's nothing you can do now but pray and be on the lookout for any symptoms ... and in a few days if you see nothing then you can rejoice!
I am so sorry that this has happened to the pups in her litter, but Hattie seems to be doing ok and you were told what to watch for, so if you think something isn't right, call the vet immediately like he told you.  hugs to you and Hattie, just try to be calm, believe it or not, I think they can sense you being upset and that can make them upset (just my theory) so just be her Mommy like you have been, and hopefully she will have missed this thing...Please keep us informed...
I wonder if the breeder had both parents innoculated, for Parvo, prior to breeding.  It can also be carried by the bitch, lying dormant.

Your breeder should pay for vet bills.

Our puppies have never been exposed to outsiders prior to having had shots.  I never even allowed them outside befor they had finished their first 2 series of puppy shots.

Hope Hattie is fine.  We will be praying that she is.
Please keep a positive attitude and know that prayers are sent for you and Hattie.

What a stinking crumby thing to have to worry about. I think it is a good sign that she is eating so well and playing. I hate that you have to worry, Hopefully soon Hattie will get the all clear..... Praying for you, My niece took in six puppies with parvo and nursed them all back to health and then got them adopted out....

I am so sorry...

So sorry that you have to worry about this instead of just enjoying your new baby. Take her to the vet immediately if she shows any symptoms at all. We will keep positive thoughts for you and Hattie.
Sandy - I feel so bad for you having to be this worried.  We are saying our prayers for Hattie and Rooney has his paws crossed!  Every hour that passes is a good sign.  Don't forget to take care of yourself either.  Please have everything ready to leave just in case and then know that you are doing everything that you can do.  Sounds like you have a great vet so it would really early intervention if she should get sick.  Please let us know how it goes.
Sandy I know it's hard but don't get yourself sick with worry-you had such a happy day. What a thing to find out after you got her home. At least you know about it early and so far so good, also the fact that your vet is ready for anything is awesome! We are all praying for you and Hattie.

Oh, No. I am sorry.... Hopefully she is OK....

I'm so sorry your happy homecoming had to be dampered by this scare. I would freak out to. It seems like if she had it she would have had symptoms by now. Hope everything works out ok, keep us posted Sandy.
