Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Ah, spring is upon us all!  PLEASE don't forget to get your doodle-do before your groomers are overbooked and can not accommodate you! While doodles are a low shed breed, that doesn't mean they do not need groomed. Quite the contrary! A low/no shed dog means it actually needs help to shed the dead coat that sits within the coat. That means regular brushing and clipping! Our doodles have different coats, but they all need maintenance.  The doodle breeders that recommend our grooming salon do so because we take doodles as seriously as they do. Look around and talk to groomers. The better communication you have with them can ease the care and maintenance of your pooch.  If you have any grooming questions, please don't hesitate to ask! :) Above all, please remember to have FUN with your dog! If a full coat is going to be a pain in the rear to your doodle that loves the water, there is no harm in clipping them short for summer!  Also, remember that there are fun, pet safe color options as well as add on goodies like puppylocks that look absolutely adorable on Doodles! :)

Sweet picture!
Anyone here ever color their Doodle? I obviously cannot, but I haven't seen any since I've been here either.

I have a lady that gets her doodles ears pink and we match her with pink feathers and a zebra manicure :) We have tons of fun and she gets lots of attention and pats. Color on her dog really helped break the ice with her daughters friend that was initially scared of the dog :)

Thanks for the reminder!! We are all summer cut now in our house!! Don't think any colors would take, unless we try to make Bandit a summer Blonde.. LOL!!
