So I gave in and purchased a kong... I thought $14 was a bit much for a dog toy, but definitely worth the hours of enjoyment it promised.  Not so much :( haha not only did he much prefer the $3 toy, but he went out of his way to avoid the Kong.  He didn't like the peanut butter in it...what?? No peanut butter...I'm shocked!  Does anyone else's dog hate peanut butter? Any ideas what else I can try? He's 4 months old if that helps.  He was so upset with me for trying to get him to try the peanut butter!

We actually put treats in the Kong he loves these pumpkin cookies we
Found, Snicks will then attempt to get the cookie out.  He loves peanut butter but Snicks mom
does not like the mess. He will also just chew on the Kong without anything in it. As your puppy starts teething you may see
them really gnaw at it. When Snicks was a puppy we went through one blue and one red kong when he was teething. Now he has graduated to the black one (which has lasted a long time)

He also loves his Kong Wubba we play with it outside it is the only soft like toy he has not destroyed in less than
a day (although we are on our 2nd one)
Oh gosh, my Molly loves her peanut butter filled kongs. I usually put a few pieces of kibble or a small treat in the bottom and then put a spoonful of peanut butter on top, then freeze them. We have at least two kongs in a ziplock back in our freezer at all times. We take one out whenever we're going to crate her from more than a few hours. She will run into her crate if she sees us get a kong out of the freezer.

I would try stuffing it with some other goodies...and def. try the freezing route. I will say, if the kong is not stuffed, Molly isn't that interested in it. However she does have a wubba kong and she loves that thing, she carries it around if she can't find her tennis balls.

We also have the Kong treat/food dispensor and Molly LOVES that thing.
Every kong we tried the ball and regular Chloe chewed it up!! They say thay th extreme kind would be fine for her but don;t want to pay the $ to find out! She destroys everything! Anyway our dogs LOVE peanut butter! Try the actual kong stuffing??
Thanks for all the great ideas!  We'll see how it goes :)
Dooley doesn't like peanut butter either. Of course, I didn't find this out until I had filled 3 with peanut butter and kibble and then frozen them. Now, I just shove a piece of bread in there and he plays with that for a little while.
Cheerios and cheese with turkey hotdog... frozen..  I stuff mother hubbard treats in their kongs with a smear of Pb... I am not a big fan of too much PB cuz of all the sugar.   For us, the puppy kongs lasted a lot longer than the red ones.. never tried the black... Kong has recipies on their website too..
My doodles LOVE bully sticks and elk antlers.  My two are agressive chewers from a very young age and I have tried everything out there, Sasha even broke off pieces of a Kong !!!!   The bully sticks are digestable and way better than rawhide and the elk/deer antlers are industructable !!!
The everlasting treat ball is awesome :) you can also stop up the tip of the kong with PB and fill with chicken or beef broth and freeze
Low fat cream cheese with Charlie Bear treats imbedded in it and frozen

Daisy liked her Kong as a puppy but stopped at about 1 year. I still have them and once in a while I will put PB in there...she sniffs and walks away. I have tried everything in there, she just isn't a fan.
