We are hoping for a brother!!!!
It is offical - after swinging back and forth - then deciding that Rooney would be an only doodle - we have our deposit in on an upcoming litter!!! So upcoming that we have aren't sure even when the breeding is going to take place. Also there is a chance that we won't even get a pup as the breeder's wait list is very long at this time - word has really gotten around about how amazing their dogs are and now everyone knows. They do have multiple other litters that should come along in the upcoming months so that should help get this list down - but I'm not going to get my hopes too high. I'd love a brother for Rooney but will happily take a girl but I'm very specific as to color so I'm willing to wait for what I want. Yippee - Rooney will have a sib - hopefully in 2011!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Jane, welcome to the waiting game. I am on the home strait now and also wanted a specific pairing so have waited eight months so far! Hopefully on June 22nd I will be home with my puppy. I'm really excited for you as you are now back in that exclusive group. Lets just hope you aren't here for too long.

It will be a long wait but because we have Rooney - it won't bother me at all. But very excited none the less. I can't wait for you to get your puppy!!!!! We want to see lots of pictures on here!

Congratulations Jane!! I'm afraid that I'm going to want to do the same thing sometime down the road but I have to restrain myself!! I've always had multiple dogs but that was when I was married and had someone to share the responsibilities with. I don't know if I could handle 2 bigger dogs on my own. But I'm of the belief, 'NEVER SAY NEVER'!!

We have really gone back and forth on this one as dh isn't here that much to help and I can't have a fenced in yard so it is going to be a lot of work but I really feel that Rooney needs a playmate. I drove the breeder nuts last time waiting for Rooney as I was obsessed with getting a puppy. This will be a longer wait but one that will just be floating out there at least until the dogs are bred. Then we have to hope for a large litter because they have people on a long wait list hoping for any puppy at all. But we are asking for a medium dog this time! I'm excited about that.

Oh Jane!!! That's wonderful!! Did checking in at this forum and seeing all the adorable puppy photos have anything to do with your decision?? LOL!!! Would you like to get the same size as Rooney? What is the specific color you want. As I have gone on here previously, my wish list was an apricot-colored male...and I, too, have waited since last fall. So my litter produces the only little male and I'll bet money he will mature to the color of his Mom which is cream. (I went back and saw photos of her practically the same color as he). But there's no way I'm going to roll this litter over! Again, waiting for your first Doodle is hard stuff!! Of course, there is the chance that I request one of the females with a better chance of color preference. Whatever...!!! I'm excited for you and from what I see on the videos, two doodles interacting with one another is double the fun!

This puppy will be a medium (Rooney is right on the line between mini/med.) and I want a big ol black nosed red or apricot puppy. We hope another boy but we'll take a girl. If it is a boy then his name is Stewart if it is a girl then it is one of the following: Garland, Temple, Garbo or Harlow. Which one do you guys like?

Well....you certainly know what you want and it's very much what I hoped for with my first little boy. I do know my pup has a black nose as well...but again, I do think he will be light! I LOVE your female names! My choise....Garland....so unusual...I'hve heard Garbo and Harlow but not Temple...but I love Garland! Have fun deciding!

That is great, We are expecting my mom's puppy, who will be raised with Jack to be born in the next few weeks, She will come home in August. Congrats to Rooney on becoming a future big brother!!!!
