A delayed introduction to my new baby

He has been sick for a couple of days - but he seems a lot better now.

I like to guys to meet my sweetie

he is a medium english goldendoodle

His name is BUCK.  (short for buckminster) HAHAHA - don't make fun... my kids named him for their favorite character in the movie - Ice age.

(the nurse at the vet - told me - he was their first animal with the name - Buck.  I don't know if that is a good or bad thing...:)

 

He is very mellow and loving

It's great to hear Buck is doing better, and that you are able to begin to relax about his health.  He is just beautiful!  Can't speak to his size, as Brulee( our minature ALD) was just under 5 lbs. when we got her.  She was 9 weeks old.  Now she's just under 20 lbs. at 11 months.  You 'll find that whatever size she ends up is the "perfect" size!  :)

He is an adorable little baby:) He looks like an angel. I love his name, actually, Huff's dad's name was Buck and he was a white standard poodle:)

As for the name Buck, one of sweetest DK members once wrote me about the name Buck and I will paraphrase her:

....as for the name Buck, it was fine but we changed it when we adopted him because my husband said he would feel funny trying to teach the dog not to jump up or at the dog park out in public he would feel funny yelling.   BUCK OFF, BUCK OFF! 

Love the name Buck.  My sons also named a dog once.  PETE.  My father had JUST DIED and my family, of course, accepted the name with no problems but for awhile it did feel strange.

Gotta love the innocence of kids.

WHHAHAHAHAHAA - that is so freakin hilarious.  we haven't even thought of that.

 

yeah - kids are so funny and sweet that way.   At first - they also wanted to name the dog - John - for my husband b/c they love their daddy.  but I convinced them to go with another name.  and then of course the very next name was - Buck.

I did NOT mention the name of the DK member who told me about Buck Off, and she did come into this discussion but never fessed up it was her.  Maybe she will later.
