Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi fellow SCmers!

I asked Carol and she said it was okay for me to help her get this started, so we can all get involved here to whatever degree we would like, and get to know each other and our doodles better.

This first week, why don't we each tell tell the basics about our doodles... your name, where you live, doodle(s)'s name, age, sire and dam, etc... There is an option to insert a photo by clicking on the photo icon in the toolbar above the text box. My original photo was large, which would have been fine, but I cut mine down to 5-10% of original size to see how it would work.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who is very curious to hear the basics about their pet's relatives, littermates, and friends!

Please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or ideas by clicking on "send message" on my page. I'm not very techno or anything, but this site really is helpful and easy to figure out. I think there is a way to put a photo in with your reply, but I'm not sure... I let you know if I figure it out! bye, Margo

I think this is great!!!!! Jacques and Diana Murphy, Atlanta, GA
We are empty nesters and brought our Tahoe home on July 5th. He is now almost 6 months old and was Blue boy from the Dancer Cooper litter. Our college aged boys did get to meet him and help him grow up as a puppy this summer.

He is adorable, has a cute personality. New game is searching around the house for something to grab that he KNOWS he is not supposed to have. The game trade is working pretty well. he loves walks in the city but really enjoys our cabin where he can go off leash on the quiet roads and in our back yard. he is doing great in the car we travel 2 hours to our cabin quite often.

We are doing some one on one training with Cathy Bruce when we have time and it has given us excellent guidance and ideas on what to work on next. Tahoe works well with gentle/positive reward.

would love to hear about litter mates and other Cooper sons.

We LOVE doodles now, can't believe I waited this long to do this!!!

Lily, "Purple girl" (not same as the breeder "Lily" at Southern Charm)
Parents Tucker and Jubilee
Born July 8, 2008
Weight at 3 mos: 13lb. 8 oz.

Current favorite toys include ropes and sticks, bully sticks, tennis ball in an old sock. Just tried a beef ear... they are similar to pig or lamb ears, but not as fatty and very digestible and not smelly or slimey... unless someone tells me something bad about them, I'm going to get more!
Very socialble and speedy, loves being with us, still doesn't love crate. Loves running away from me when she doesn't want to do what I have in mind!

We just love TJ - at first he should some drama with everything, now he is settled down to our routine. He loves his Poochie Bells - learned really quick to tell us he wants to go outside. He loves the outdoors and his new favorite activity is chasing chipmunks. TJ does not love his crate but is OK as soon as he gets in and cries for a minute. He is my little buddy - he goes everywhere he can with me in the van. We have taken short walks up to the bus stop each day - getting used to a chain and my commands. TJ spent the weekend at my sister's house with her lab. He had so much fun - he slept for 2 days straight afterwards!! TJ loves all 4 boys - they keep him busy.

I will upload a picture soon of TJ - I need to give him a bath! and get a new updated picture. On the 5th boy, you just don't take as many pictures! TJ wants to eat my camera lens and chords as well!

Thanks for sharing. Lily is beautiful!

Just click the last button to the right in the reply toolbar. Then browse to the picture you wantn Here is an attempt to get a pic of my Cotton out of Kalie and Deacon up. She will be 1 yr old on November 10th. She will have a party. We moved from Bluffton, SC on the coast to a small town outside of Columbia, SC called Pomaria. Cotton has two doggie sisters and one doggie brother whom she loves. When we have friends over they are encouraged to bring their canine children so Cotton has lots of playmates. She really is a friendly dog.
I tried to get the pic smaller before time ran out, but lost my Internet connection. Does anyone know how I can correct this?
Hi Debbie, I went back through the steps. I found the photo with "browse" and then clicked once on it just to highlight it, then my photo program (microsoft) had the option to go to Edit if I right clicked. Then it popped up in an editor and had the option to "resize", and one of the options was to do a percentage... and I did around 8 % of what I think was about an 2 mb photo, then I saved the smaller photo with a new name and didn't save the changes to the original. I guess the other option would be to resize a photo before going to upload. It's absolutely fine though that it's that big... it just takes longer for you.

Bailey is the Pink Girl from Kalie/Deacon born Nov. 10 2007. She weighs 35 pounds. Bailey loves to play with sticks and tries very hard to bring them into the house. She also loves toys made by Plush Puppies. They are really fun puzzle toys. She also loves elk antlers, they really keep her busy. Bailey had some training with Cathy Bruce as well and we are still working on a few things. It is very hard for US to keep her off the couch because she likes to sit on our laps.....and we REALLY like it. So I'm thinking we are the ones who need the training! Bailey loves to play with other dogs and is very friendly. She enjoys walks along the river and at Chastain. We hope that more of her siblings check in and we'd love to see some of the barn buddies from Leah and Rhett. Michele, Atlanta, GA

Scout, "red boy"
Born January 17,2008
Parents Scarlett and Cooper
Weight at 9 months 51lbs.

Scout is our gentle giant. He is anywhere where we are curled up at our feet or nearby. He loves his Kong toy filled with peanut butter, and any busy bone type chewy. About once a week he goes outside llooking all creamy and beautiful and comes to the door with a black face and 4 paws after unearthing our backyard. :) That's really his only naughtiness. He loves Margo Millures labradoodle Lily....and waits at the window to see her when Margo takes her out. We have 4 kids.......8 year old,6,4, and 2 who all play with him...put things on him, lay on him, kiss him, hug him...and he takes it all. He's a great family dog.
