I Can Get DK Members a small discount on Pet Insurance...but a question...

I just spoke with VPI Insurance and I can get a small discount for DK Members if we partner up with them.  But it got me thinking...why not check what a couple OTHER pet insurances might offer.  I'm not as familiar with which is most desireable/popular among the various insurance companies.  Besides VPI...what other TWO would you say would be best to check on?  If we can get a better deal for everyone that would be ideal.  If not then I'm happy to go with VPI and all DK members will then get a little bit of a break when buying their insurance.

 

Speak out!  Vote for which other two I should persue info on!

Doodle Messenger does already have a discount set up with Pet Plan.  You can get a 5% discount with them for just mentioning "Doodle".

But they only give you 3 discounts so spay/neuter, microchip, and online application all counted for 5% each and that was all that could be done.

I have PetPlan!  I got a 5% discount for being on DK!

I did not get a 5% discount - didn't know I could.

I am probably going with Pet Plan but I don't think that if you do get a discount I will be eligible here in Ireland!  The most important thing for me is the 'Whole of Life cover' so that if something that ends up being long term  it will not be excluded.  One thing I need to check up on though is how much they increase the premium each year.  I think they get you in quite cheaply but then it goes up each year.

Please make a big announcement when you have this decided.  We do not have pet insurance on Rooney but the vet in Atlanta told me that we SHOULD get in on Stuart for the first 2 years - then if everything checks out o.k. - (meaning hips) - that we could cancel it.  Puppy mill puppies come from usually cheap (meaning un-health tested dogs) and can have lots of problems so I will get it for Stuart and the sooner the better.

Jane, I was thinking about you and insurance.  I think it would be a smart move with Stuart.  Guinness is rarely sick now, but I'm so glad I've had insurance with Murph.
