Stuart Update #2

[Jane, Rooney & Stuart]

This is little, sick guy is so amazing and brave!  Last night he slept in the portable crate, sleeping on a shirt that I had worn.  He never cried - not once.  He slept till about 2:00 a.m. when I took him outside and then right back to sleep.  I woke him up at 5:30.  Despite being so sick he is playful and happy, cute as all get out.  We drove 7 hours in the car today, stopping only once and he slept in the car seat.  He goes potty each and every time that I have taken him out side.  Right now Stuart is enjoying his first stay at a Hilton - we had a commitment to stop here for 2 nights for my nephews graduation on our way back to Ft. Myers.  Stuart wants to say nah nah nah na - to Rooney who has never been to a hotel.  Thanks to DH who gets a bazillion hotel points for business so we are here for free.  Well - I am - I had to pay 49.00 for Stuart - lol - like really?  Thanks to you all for your help with this - Stuart and I are BOTH doing better today - lol.  I love this little boy - worms and all.  I feel like I have not had the time to pay attention to what all is going on with the rest of you.  I hope to catch up soon.  Love you all.

Stuart had his 1st trip to Petsmart today - during the morning I thought I'd pop in there and pick up baby gates to take home so that we can keep the boys seperate.  While there the groomer was talking to me and she said that the "smell" on Stuart is anal glands - gosh it is bad.  So I let her give him a bath and she expressed his glands.  He came back all poofy, stinking of too much perfume scent and as I cuddle him this after noon the stench of something icky is getting stronger.  Can pups this little have full anal glands from stress.  Is this a sign of a bigger issue.  I love to love on him but EVERYTHING stinks.  Of course he had to get a few new toys - can't have everything be hand me downs, lol.  We are going to stop in at my vet tomorrow on our way home - I can't wait to see of he is gaining weight.

Staying at the Hilton, Stuart it's a good thing you're not a girl, you could end up being called Paris. $49 extra for Stuart, there had better be some realllllllllllllllllllllly good puppy shampoo. Glad to hear things are going better, enjoy your nephew's graduation and don't sweat the small stuff. Remember if all else fails, when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping.  BTW Stuart, it's not nice to tease your brother, he's bigger than you, for now.

Stuart sounds like a doll-baby!  The medicines work wonders and in no time those worms will be history! You have been a busy girl the last couple of days and it sounds like there's more come!  Try to get some rest when you can!
