it actually went better than I expected. I had the two big guys around my waist on a double coupler (?) and the puppy on a leash. He trotted alongside very well, it was Jaxon (one of the bigger doods) who was testing the waters by pulling a bit. It was a pretty smooth walk, but any suggestions or tricks would be welcome....

I'm listening too...two is hard enough:) Lucca, the 2yo is fine/Izzy the 8 month old is not!!!
My husband ran three dogs for years and years, but I think when they are running it is easier than when they are walking and can get distracted.

When we had three dogs the key for us was that EACH had to be pretty darn solid on lead and each had to know 'heel' very well...then it was a relatively easy even though I didn't walk them in a strict 'heel' they had so much practice doing that a crummy heel was what I got and that was perfect for a casual walk.

Each dog was on their own 6 foot leash, usually each with a choke chain.  Thule our medium sized dog (relative to the others) was on the inside because she was too confused walking anywhere else.  The rest swapped around on walks, but they all walked in a loose 'heel' position on my left.  It was only potty stops that got tricky =)

Wow, I give you so much credit!  We've now got our two Doods to walk really well together....I get exhausted even thinking about training a third one to add to the mix!
Heck, I am still struggling with a 16.8lb 10-1/2 month old.  WTG to you!

We have 3 doodles, 2 standard & 1 mini.  Zeke always walks on the left with the coupler to the outside.  He trained on the left and must be left pawed or something because he just doesn't want to walk on the right.  Whichever of the other two is misbehaving gets to walk on the inside on the left.  This is a toss up between Lily & Jasper.  Each of them is fine walking on the right but sometimes we have to make a change during the course of a walk.  When it's going well, which is about 80% of the time, it's so satisfying.  When it's not going so well it's a pain ( in the arms, shoulders & most of all the butt).

You are very brave!!! My 2 walk well alone but it's a circus when I take them both together. Good job!
HA! I think YOU need to be the one giving advice!! I can't even handle my doodle and little guy at the same time...good job!!!
Have to admit I was kind of nervous, but I have watched enough Cesar to know "calm, assertive" pack leader...does actually work. I also took them out when they were all pretty calm too. I will be working on leash walking with them, and them by the weekend (when Finn is official to go where other dogs are!), I will start off leash with him with the other guys, so they can have a good romp on the trails and beach near my house. It's work, but I love it...it gives me purpose I guess!!!  I love my Doods!
