Bring your lost text back from the dead with Lazarus!

So my computer's touch pad is super annoying. I'll be a couple paragraphs into a forum post response or something similar and suddenly it will sense me doing something I didn't mean to do and I'm on another page! Losing ALL that I had just written...GRRRR!!!! 

 

When this happened recently after I'd neatly typed out a WHOLE DK announcement forum post, Clark told me about this WONDERFUL Firefox add-on called Lazarus. (also available in beta for the Chrome & Safari browser).

 

And I got to use it for the first time today.  I had just typed out this long response and was about to add a few more sentences when I ended up on a previous page.  UGH ... NOT AGAIN!  Then I remembered I had Lazarus! I quickly looked up how to use it, came back to the page I had been on...right clicked in the text box and recovered EVERYTHING I'd just written.  YAHOOOOO!!!!

 

So without knowing anything else about it (that's my disclaimer!!!) I had to recommend it here to all of you who type on DK! Because it's incredibly frustrating to lose a paragraphs of writing, but now you don't have to!

Oh, Adina!  That had been happening to me for such a long time.  I was finally told to get a mouse and turn off the touch pad!  It works every time.  Somehow if I so much as breath on the touchpad when it is activated it messes up whatever has been typed!  I just replaced my old mouse last week with a wireless one ( for less than ten dollars)  and just love it!   Glad you got your problem fixed and I will also check out the Lazarus program.  Thanks for that info.

Sometimes mice are fun!  Get a mouse, no more lost text!

I prefer mice too but I move my laptop all over including to my bed, the couch and I don't like taking the mouse every time.

I totally  know that feeling, but my laptop touchpad is sooo sensitive that the mouse became the lesser of the two evils!  I was deleting every time I typed something without knowing why the text was disappearing.  But Lazarus sounds wonderful!   We will definitely check it out.
