I already bought a normal dog bed, but I am interested in a cot for my dog since it is so hot in the south. Has anyone tried cots from this manufacturer?
We have had one for Harlow for almost 2 years and we love it. Harlow loves it too. It seems to be indestructible because Harlow likes to "scratch up" her bed before settling down and it doesn't show any wear at all.
Do you know which size/model/fabric you have specifically? How big is your doodle...do you think the XL is/would be large enough for the dog to be comfy and stretch out? I am looking into the classic cot just because I don't want to waste a bunch of money on a bed that my dog might not like...lol BTW, sorry...I know I ask a lot of questions :-).
I can't remember if it was a large or extra large
So I measured it. It is approx 40"x25". It is plenty
big for Harlow to stretch out. She is 50lbs. I think ours is
the classic too. We have the burgundy heavy outdoor
fabric, not the canvas.
Hahaha...I can't help it! There are two rooms of my house that I am in most of the time and I feel like he should have a bed in both areas. I already bought a large circular bed with the walls around it. I do think I am going to wait for a little while before I buy this bed :-).
Clint, I tried a cot for our oldest dog, Fudge, and she hated it. I almost threw it away and then we got our Vern. He loves this cot type bed. Mostly, he rolls on it and digs on it....it is like his personal back scratcher. The one I got is called a Coolaroo bed and I got it on Amazon and it is cheap. I think $27. What I like about it is you can buy new covers for $8.00. If you go to my videos you can see pictures of Vern on his bed. He has gone through two covers. He weighs 90 pounds. Maybe you might want to try a cheaper one, just in case your dog does not like a cot. Just a thought...good luck!!
Every bed we buy the dogs don't use! I would love to have one of these in the backyard in the shade for them to rest. I think I will look for the cheapest version and if they like it maybe get a better second one.
