Power cord chewer

Hi Everyone, Bella (13 wks) spends her days in the family room with all her toys around her.  Besides the sofa we have a lampstand and a end table with a lamp on top.  Bella has taken up a new hobby to chew through the cords..We have had to fix the cords twice before. I have caught her several times starting to chew and distracted her with a toys which works, but today while I was making breakfast for the kids she manage to chew through it again!  All three times the lamps where not in use, but I'm afraid that she'll do it again when the lamp is turned on and get shocked..

I always worry about the cords behind our computer areas.  Harpo loves to crawl under the computer stand and sit on our feet when we are working on the computer, but so far no chewing.  He has pulled paper out of the paper area and pulled canvas out of the boxes, but so far no cords.  I would say to put away any cords in the areas where she is allowed to roam on her own.  We keep doors closed and things put up, but he has been known to enjoy a pair of biking shorts and several shoes.  She is still young and has a lot of chewing days ahead of her.  Keep things up and out of her reach for the next several months at least.

Thanks for your input..Everything is pretty much put away.  The lamp is needed in our family room and can't be put anywhere else, so I'll just have to keep a eagle eye on her.  Bella has also enjoyed a pair of my son's stinky running shoes..go figure! yuk.

I have the same problem with Lachlan, who'll chew anything he can fit in his mouth. For the power cords I can't get out of his reach I picked up some flex tubing at Home Depot (in the cable management section). It's split down one side to push the power cord/cable into and is made of heavy-duty plastic. He could still chew through it, given enough time, but it's hard enough that I can at least hear his teeth on it and intervene before he can get too far.

Then I sprayed it THAT with Bitter Apple. *snicker*

I did not get the chance to buy anything yesturday.  I did tape down the cord and tuck in the rest under the sofa. So far so good.  I'll stop by Home Depot today.  Thanks
