As I was collecting my grooming supplies over the past two years, I would put some things here and some things there and oh yeah, maybe a little over there, until I would be spending more time looking and collecting my supplies, than actually grooming the dog.

I liked the tote that was on here in a past post, but I am done spending money on supplies and that still lends itself to being moved from one place to another and yet another. So when DH added cabinets to my laundry room I decided to dedicate one to a Grooming Center. Where everything has a home.

So nice to just go to one place for everything necessary, from Q-tips for ear cleaning, to toothpaste for teeth to clippers and my assortment of scissors.

I usually do thier grooming in the garage which is right outside the laundry room, so I have to walk right by this cabinet to begin the session and walk back by it when done, so everything is in one central location and convenient. Whew, this was a long time coming but feels so good to finally get organized.

What a great set up, this is what I use to keep me semi organized. I just roll it out when I am ready to use it.

That is a really clever idea Donna if you don't have shelving built in.  I am guessing I might have to use something mobile like this.
This is nice Donna. I have something similar for my quilting supplies in my sewing room, DIdn;t think about grooming tools.
Wow...this looks really great.  I love how you have the scissors hanging up.  What a great idea.  Hmmmm...just ordered clippers and a grooming table so now I am going to have to create a "spot" somewhere and dedicate it to Rua's grooming.  My laundry room won't be big enough to set the table up in and move around it.

My laundry room isn't big enough either. I mostly do the grooming in the garage and have a plywood board that DH covered with a piece of rug and we put that on two sawhorses. It is pretty sturdy, but I still have to be sure they don't get near an edge or it might tip. They hold pretty still and Murphy actually likes to just laydown for some of it.

When it's 100 degrees out like now, I use my cutting table in my sewing room that is about 3'x'5' and very stable. That room has tile, and I have to stop often to sweep up hair so it doesnt all over, but it's cooler and the air doesn't blow the hair around like in the garage. DH uses a leaf blower after I sweep up the bulk of the hair and just blows it out of the garage.

I use an old plastic table cloth to put over the table and then scoop up the hair into a big trash can or when done take the whole tablecloth off and shake it off into the outside garbage receptacle. I haven't found a way to keep the hair off me or out of my mouth, but I'm working on it.
