LUCY WAS DOODLE TRAINED TO FRANNIE SPECTOR IN ATLANTA FOR FOSTER CARE, HW TREATMENT AND SPAY SUGERY. AT 10:00 PM LAST NIGHT SHE BOLTED. LUCY WAS LAST SEEN AT 6:30 AM THIS MORNING.
FULTON COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL AND THE ENTIRE ANIMAL WELFARE COMMUNITY IN THE ATLANTA AREA HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AND ARE DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO RECOVER LUCY.

Frannie, I hope you know that we love and adore you and are here in any and every way that we can be. This is a very unfortunate accident and is not your fault sweetie...: ). Anyone who has been active in rescue has had experiences such as this one. It happens....And it happens more often than we think or know...It's just generally not made public or discussed openly which is a disservice to the dogs, the rescue community and the volunteers who give so much of themselves to save these dogs. Every proper precaution was taken to ensure Lucy's safe transport and transition to foster care with one of the most experienced, passionate, dedicated and amazing foster mommies in rescue.......You Frannie.... I do not want you blaming yourself for this situation.
We are so grateful to have you as part of our family. Don't allow this accident to dissuade you from doing what you love to do and do so well.....: ) We will find Lucy and we will get her back on track.
I know what you are going through Frannie and I so want to be there for you and for Lucy........I feel utterly powerless here in NJ...... Last night I was pricing flights to Atlanta as the waiting and my personal inability to pound the pavement from NJ leaves me feeling so impotent.......Don't be surprised if I show up on your doorstep...Love you mamma....: )
I want to thank the DRC and Frannie especially for all their work. Frannie, you are a go-to foster mom that I know the DRC always counts on in a pinch. I sincerely hope you don't let this deter you from your work with DRC because anyone who has seen your blogs about fostering KNOWS that you are amazing. You make a difference on a daily basis.
Keep us posted.
Frannie just posted on Facebook that Lucy has been found!!!!!!
