I have an Epson printer (Stylus Photo R1900) that uses archival pigment rather than dye. It can print up to 13x19. I love how the fine art prints come out - on watercolor or thick velvet paper. A lot of times I'll just order a stretched canvas giclee to work on.
I've heard that oils have a tendency to crack, so I use acrylics for embellishing.
I finished a new digital painting this evening of Toby and his "girlfriend," Kelly - my inlaw's Yorkie Poo. They are so cute together.
Here are the reference images...I know... they're over exposed, etc., but I wasn't concerned with that - all I cared about was getting Kelly to stay put on that chair, and getting a cute expression on Toby's face. Got it! (I took this in the bathroom, so I draped an old curtain over the shower door so I wouldn't have too many distracting lines in the background to deal with.)
Wow, what a spectacular photo! How did you change the backround from the sheet to that spectacular background. It's like the light is shining down and highlighting that adorable Yorkiepoo. I Love It!
Linda you are an artist and magician. Even if you tell us your secrets I could never replicate them. What a beautiful oeuvre d'art!
Absolutely incredible. This is with Corel?
