Wow! Excellent shots! You must have had the shutter speed up nice and fast to freeze the water like that. That second one is especially great!

Thanks Linda.   I used the Sports/Action Mode.....um......so doesn't that mean the camera sets the shutter speed?    I've had the camera long enough to know this....but DUHHHHH!!!!!    : )    Lots still to learn.

Yes, most likely it puts the camera on Shutter priority and defaults to a fast setting. :)

I was determined to do a great submission for this month. We went to the dog park we frequent and try as I might it was impossible to get a good shot of the water. This was the best I got. I think maybe I will try again with a nice calm bowl of water, or something similar. LOL

I haven't had time to shoot anything this month, either. Darwin looks cute with all his wet curls.

I normally shoot a Canon 7D DSLR, but I get nervous having it around water and beach sand.  So I use an older Olympus waterproof  point-and-shoot for most of the water shots.  The shots are usually alright (like the two attached), but I can certainly tell the difference when you compare them to the newer camera shots.  Anyone  have a receommendation for a good waterproof point and shoot?
