My lab could catch anything, my labradoodle nothing! I have been trying to train her to catch a tennis ball, but not having much success. She can't catch treats either.
On the subject of eyes, Kirby had blue eyes when I got her at 8 weeks, then green eyes for several months, but now they are golden yellow/green just like Cedar's. She's a year and a half old. She has a rose nose too!
Luna has beautiful soft brown eyes :)
Luna is pretty good at catching things. She doesn't really understand frisbees yet, but I can bounce a ball down the hallway and she catches it mid-air all the time. She also uses her paws in combination with her mouth to catch larger objects. I guess that's her poodle-ness coming out - poodles love to use their paws!
Also - I've heard that you can only get the green/hazel eyes with multi-gen doodles. I'm not sure if there's any truth to that.
My best friends doodle, Bentley and my sisters doodle, Mable, whom are littermates, both have amber/yellowish eyes. Bentleys eyes are more yellow than Mables. This pic is of Mable first then Bentley, when they were about 13 wks old..
Only the second picture was large enough to see the eyes, but those do like Cedar's. Rose nose? (sure like call it that rather than "liver" nose)
Whatever else she did, Angela Rutland-Manners did describe the coats, eye and pigment colors of labradoodles and here is a link that is well illustrated of hers.
Sorry, here is the link with colors illustrated.
