Show me your golden doodle at 4 months

I'm clueless when it comes to Goldendoodle puppies.  Does Stuart look "Doodley" to you?  I was so hoping that he'd be "Quincy" but I am not sure what to make of this feathery looking fluffy thin hair.  Show me your goldendoodle at 4 months will ya?

I love Stuart's look. He is absolutely beautiful as well as all the doodles in this discussion. Thank you for having this question. I had no idea how much they change in coats. Guess I will find out soon! :)

Jane, I'm so glad you posted this. Fenway looks exactly like Stuart, though she is a few weeks younger. She is also lacking a lot of the fluffy leg fur. It will be fun to see how they grow up!

Here is Quincy at four months, he had a very skinny non doodle like tail. Jane, I think the best example of a puppy growing into his doodleness is Huff, go to Taylor, Bryce and Huff and check out the pictures. Stuart has the best doodle nose, even JD might be jealous.

Well - they can't all be Quincy!!!!!!  But we can hope.  But if you look at Quincy here at 4 months - his leg hair is much fuller, it blends into his body.  He already has that Teddy Bear look.  Stuart and some of the others on here have retriever legs, also the coat is thinner and more wispy.  We do love him of course but Quincy sets the standard!

Rua at 4 months...started out pretty stick straight on her head and as it grew it just got longer and a little wavy. 

 

Take a look at Carla's Izzy.  I met her and her two Dood's Lucca & Izzy, along with Anita & Ruby and Lynda & Grocho and Harpo in CA in January.  Izzy had a really different coat.

Cute baby Rua!!!  Well you get what you get - Stuart was a rescue and so of course it wasn't like I had researched and found a good breeder or anything - lol.  Never saw his parents (I often wonder where they ended up) so it really will just be what it is.  I'm no Angelina Jolie and Stuart still loves me, so no matter what he looks like - he'll still be my boy!!!

Yep - just looked at Izzy's baby pics - looks alot like Stuart!  Izzy is a very cute doodle!!!!!  Stuart may just have to grow into himself - lol.  Right now all his energy is just going into GROWING - maybe his coat will catch up - lol.

I zzy at 10 months is still a "work in progress". She has a wavy retriever coat on top but it's wirey to the touch, doodle face and front legs. But her back legs are questionable. The place between her knee and ankle don't have much hair. Yet her feet are hairy. It looks like she has boots on:) We'll see what happens. I know Lucca had his doodle coat by 10 months. Maybe Izzy's coat is taking more time to grow in or maybe this is IT!!. Her coat has no consistency. No matter what, she has an incredible personality and is a true love bug:-)
