It is DH's and my 7th anniversary today. Planned on going out to dinner but I hate to leave Rua. I would really love to take her but the restaurants I called have these stupid rules about dogs. Heck, I was just wanting to sit outside on the patio, but the few that allow it, you have to tie your dog up on the other side of the fence. And that just isn't going to happen
I feel bad leaving her by herself...but I deserve a dinner out, right? Oh, if we stay home, I have to go grocery shopping and do the cooking.

UPDATE:
The response was overwhelmingly in favor of going out. So we did. We went to a nice little Italian restaurant...I had black fettuccine with lobster in a cream sauce. We shared a bottle of Chateau St. Jean Chardonnay, and split tiramisu for dessert. We left the house at 5:45 and were back a little after 7:30...we didn't linger. Momma missed her baby. My DH left her out of the kennel and she bolted out of the bedroom to find me. He is disappointed that she always runs to find me and not him. He just doesn't get she is her Momma's girl. I am so glad, though, that he just loves her to pieces and isn't jealous of all the time I spend with her and on DK!
I am SOOOO full right now.

You just stop that! I am not going to be talked into getting Rua's little brother or sister faster than my plan! LOL You also have to remember, dear Jane, that I am gone Monday thru Friday...leaving the house at 7:30 and getting home 5:40 - 6:00 and need to spend more time training Rua. While Rua is clearly a beautiful and brilliant little Doodle, she does not always mind me! Until she has impectable manners (well, maybe not impectable, how about pretty good manners), she is not getting a sibbling!
She was in her crate and did just fine. It wasn't too bad since we were home all weekend and she is just crated for part of the night, but 3 days a week she is in her crate all day (she is sprung at noon for a quick potty), I really hate to put her back in. I have been wanting to try leaving her out for a short time (like, run to the store for 1/2 an hour) and see how she does, but if I leave the house on the weekend and my DH stays home, she puts up a fuss. I think I'll have to set up my webcam and call my home phone with my cell so I can hear what happens if we leave her out all by her lonesome.
