OK, I have used Frontline Plus, vacuumed daily, sprayed, washed bedding etc and washed again and I AM STILL FINDING a couple of fleas about every other day on Bruno! I feel like I am going crazy. I have been avoiding "bombing" but am beginning to feel like I cannot get ahead of this.

If you have used a "bomb" or fogger what have you used?  Did it work?

Also, he had a dose of Frontline plus on the 15th of July. is it safe to give him another dose?

He is going to a friends house for the weekend while we are away and I cannot, in good conscience, take him there if he has fleas!

Learn something every day. Apparently the fleas can contain tapeworm cysts. May my dogs never have fleas.
I agree with Karen. The benefit of boming outweighs the risk. Fleas are hardy little creatures and can survive freezing and can also live for some time without a blood meal. Breaking the cycle by killing the adults and the eggs, is key to eliminating the problem. Also keep in mind that if you see any "flea dirt"- essentially "flea poop" (the little black specks), you still have a flea issue even if you can't find any adult fleas.
I also would use a professional to bomb the house to make sure it works! You got some good suggestions here and I was wondering (still) why the frontline isn't doing it's job anymore? Did they change that formuls or something? Good luck to you what a horrible situation.
If you treat your house Stacey, make sure you treat your lawn too.  When I had flea problems I treated the house, furniture, animals, etc.  but didn't treat the outside. They kept coming back, it was def a challenge.  As soon as I treated the lawn, poof they were gone.  They have treatment that are non toxic to pets so don't worry about that.  Treat your lawn before you go to bed at night, then by morning it will be well soaked in the soil to kill any live fleas and eggs too.  I got the granules, I forget what they are called, but I got it @ Menards.  Good Luck

Frontline never worked on my Portie or GR, so I switched to K-9 Advantix - flea problem immediately solved. Well, Hercules started getting flaky skin after we relocated to a colder climate. So, I recently switched him to Trifexis because it prevents heartworms, intestinal worms, and fleas, all in one monthly tab and eliminates topical treatments. So far, it appears to be working. I love the convenience, not having to time grooming visits around flea treatments, and saving money from no longer having to buy two different products. His skin problem is also clearing up - could be with the assistance of a prescription shampoo though.

Note: Trifexis does not kill tics.

Oh, gosh. We just saw a couple of fleas on Lucy for the first time ever last week.

I thought Frontline was supposed to keep her from getting them, even if she were exposed to them. The only place I can think of that she got them is from the backyard b/c we have things like possums who pass through - especially this year b/c we're in the middle of extreme drought.

So I guess I am going to start this whole process of bombing the house and taking her for a flea bath. If I call in a pro to bomb the house and take her for a flea bath that same day, does that cover it or will I still have to do other things to the furniture, carpet, etc?

She was supposed to go to the groomer on Thursday. Now I guess I shouldn't take her so I don't give fleas to all the other doggy clients, huh?

Gross.

If you got it early, before the fleas had a chance to leave eggs anywhere, you should be okay with the flea bath and the bombing. You'll need the yard sprayed, too.

After the bombing, you will need to keep vacuuming. And make sure you wash all bedding.
