THE HDA TROPHY HAS ARRIVED ON LONG ISLAND!!
I had the most exciting day yesterday! It started off quite normal. I got up, threw in a load of laundry, signed on to DoodleKisses, made coffee, checked in on Doodlekisses, ate breakfast, checked in on DoodleKisses... you get the idea (something many in the 'outside world' would NEVER understand). And as I was cleaning the kitchen (well sort of), my oldest son came into the kitchen holding a box. Now those of you who have read my posts (and Tori's "issues" with the UPS and Fed Ex guys) know packages arriving to my house is not rare. but THIS one sure was... it was for ME... and I KNEW where it came from because my son called me "Shelly". Now aside from close friends, my dad and now you guys, no one really calls me Shelly, and certainly NOT my kids!
That's when my stomach started to get all jittery inside. Could it be? Was it MY turn? (I would not really have thought my points were 'up there' quite enough). My special package arrived from Jane, Rooney and Stuart. Being as she is from Florida, she sent Tori a Gator with a water bottle inside for crackling - which she literally has NOT let go of since. She even slept with it! We got special natural treats, a bully stick and Got Dog mug, for me when i sit drinking my morning coffee as I sign into DoodleKisses, chocolate covered Gator dropping (yummy!) a "I Love DoodleKisses.com" bumper sticker and a book on Florida. Than you so much Jane, Rooney and Stuart!
Tori started out as a compromise for a dog my boys kept begging for. Now, don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but after quite a few years without one, I was satisfied with no hair, no "mess" to clean up, etc. Many of you know we didn't 'bond' at first and at that time she was well our "dog". But after those first few months (okay, maybe more than I remember), she grew into a member of our family. Of course I tell the boys she loves us all, often I do have to admit, I slip and say "She loves me more". ( well, she DOES- lol). But she is no longer a 'compromise, but has grown into "My Tori-girl".
Thank you all for letting me share her (and yours) with all of you! This is truly an honor. I am honored to display my trophy for ALL to see (no matter what they may then say behind my back! LOL)
Rather than attaching pictures, I have attached a video I made of all of us when we received the package. I even had to call Ali (and Sonny) to share the news. Even my in-laws got in on the action! (But please excuse my "Snow White" voice in the beginning! lol)

LOL...Thanks Pat (that was my favorite part too) ... it was all about my son(s) for the past month (well more than that really - lol)... so I figured - It was MY turn - well Mine and TORI'S that is! :O)

Hi RoseAnn! You get more points for posting in the forum, blogs, and participating in discussions/blgs, adding photos, videos, music, etc. If you hover over the trophy it is all listed there. It will automatically calculate and adjust your points! AS you reach certain points, your status and picture will change! Good luck! So glad to see you already "have the fever" - LOL So, technically, you are already a (hopeless) doodle addict! LOL
