Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I have a new moyen poodle puppy named Molly and she is such a doll but she's also so small! I had her shiipped to me all the way from Georgia because I wanted a smaller poodle.. Her breeder told me she would be in the 30 pounds range and roughly 18 inches tall... now she's 4 months old and she's only 11 pounds and teeny. Pictures and sizes of her parents are below.. I love her to pieces. She's a great little dog.. my first little dog.
What do you guys think? How big do you think she'll get?
This is her Dam 35 pound 19 inches
This is her Sire - 20 pounds and is 17"
This is 4 month old Molly 11lbs
Playing with one of my F1b Labradoodles who weighs 15 pounds at 12 wksI took these pictures today.. I have to admit she's freaking adorable but she looks nothing like her parents. YET. My husband keeps saying.. are you sure she's a poodle? Haha! Because.. she does kinda look like a doodle but her frame and bones are much smaller then my doodle puppies. I wonder what she'd look like with a clean face? I totally love the doodle look she's got going on and I love her eyes. They used to be green but they're turning yellow..green now.

Thank you! Yeh she's a keeper. I fell in complete love the minute I took her out of her crate. She was sooo tiny I could not believe it! I've never owned a dog this small. I still treat her like a puppy because she looks like a 9 week old not a 4 month old. This is her at the airport right after I took her out of her crate.. notice how big my hand is and how small she is..
She's so cute. But, I think the stork dropped a Doodle into the litter.
That's what we're thinking... that dang stork must of took a left when he was supposed to take a right and he dropped off the wrong puppy! Just maybe there's a little poodle puppy in an Irish Wolfhound litter somewhere..LOL
Oh wow! I'm so excited you found this post!! It's so nice to see pictures of her dog family. :)
I'm a little confused though.. is MJ and Melody your dogs or Irish's? Because I see you both have them on your website.. do you co-own them? MJ is drop dead beautiful poodle and she is why I flew Molly all the way from Georgia to Washington.. I'm sure I could of found a small standard poodle closer and even cheaper but once I saw MJ I knew I had to have one of her puppies and I am so pleased with her. I just love her personality and her nose and eyes.Melody is also so beautiful! You can tell they comes from good bloodlines. Good work Elizabeth! :)
Her eyes have turned though from green to hazel..or light yellowish. I'm still tempted to give her a clean face but for now she's sporting the Doodle look.
I was considering putting her in a guardian home with my neighbor and friend but now I don't know... I might be jealous and kick my self for doing it. Haha!
I just have so many dog right now and it's a little much. I have 5 at the moment all living in the house plus 3 kids and a husband.
I still can't picture Molly getting up to 18 inches but I'll take your word for it.. she's 4 months old almost 5 and she's 11 pounds! She's teeny tiny still but she's growing so there is hope. :) Do you think I'll need to breed her to a miniture Doodle or do you think I can do a medium sized doodle?
I do but I have not measured her yet. I know she's as big as my 12 week old Labradoodle puppies... lol! So she's teeny... for now.
When I do find my measuring tape I'll let you guys know.
How old is she? She's beautiful!! I'm thinking I may breed a pure bred litter with her once she's old enough. She's not even a year old yet. I think her parents are beautiful though and I'm excited to see Molly's puppies as well. Thank you for posting. I also think Molly looks cuter in a doodle cut. I cut her down in a poodle cut and I regretted it the minute I was finished. She was way cuter as a doodle wanna-be. LOL! Thanx again for your comment.
