So the first crop, and last, is in. This is the garden state but I really don't grow many veggies unless you count rhubarb, which we eat like a fruit. And then there are tomatoes, which are fruits but we eat like vegetables. What a confusing world. My so called vegetable garden consist mostly of phlox gone wild, with some berries, rudbeckia, Queen Anne's lace and other flowers thrown in. And many weeds. So I grow my tomatoes in pots near where it's easy to water them. I did also get one blackberry before the birds, yes one berry not one pint or something.

Ta dum

And here are some of the bird's berries

Blueberries, I didn't get one

Blackberries, I got one

So come on, show us your bounty.
I know Joanne recently posted about her garlic. What else is out there?

Well, shoot, my raspberries are done until the next batch of flowers turn into berries, and we might very well be into Fall by then. These monsoons ruined everything that was still left on the bushes.

I'm sorry the birds got your berries. I hope they also got a few bugs while they were at it, to repay you.

Reallly I'm OK with the birds getting the berries. I love to watch and listen to them so this may help attract them to my yard. It may have been chipmunks Although the robins know all the angles : )

This is why the birds don't get my berries:

The brick walkway is one of JD's favorite sunbathing spots.

And...that is one beautiful Doodle.  Hey, I thought you said Jackdoodle didn't photograph well.  That is a gorgeous photo of him!  But it is hard to see the big black nose!!  ha ha

Thanks, Nancie. He really doesn't photograph well, the photos don't do him justice. But I may be prejudiced.

May be? But aren't we all about our dogs. And it is a particularly nice view of the platinum blond coat.
So Jack eats them or he wards the birds off?
He's just a guard, not a taster. To him, berries are not edible.
So handsome, JD!  You ought to be in Playgirl....or Playdood
That is one beautiful tomato!!!!!!
Thank you Nancie.

That is the First Thing I said!  " What a beautiful picture of a tomato!"
