How were the winners decided?

We had over 800 submissions so it was one of the hardest choices EVER!

Some factors that played a big role (once we narrowed it down to 100-150 photos) were the resolution/size of the photos. Some photos were wonderful but were unavailable in a large enough format to cover a whole page. They may have been tall enough but not wide enough. So there was some technical factors but a lot of just gut feeling and what Clark and I thought would look great for the single-photo-per-page calendars. And that still left out a TON and we worked in as many as possible to make the multi-photo calendars. We also wanted to get a nice variety of doodles (not just cream or red, etc). It really was tough and there were several GREAT photos that just didn't make it in -- we could have made 10 calendars with the number of beautiful pics =) I second guessed myself many times, and sat there in indecision many times...but I think we ended up with three great calendars!
