Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

This girl is my new foster.  Currently her name is Miley and has had a rough start in life.  Normally I wouldn't change her name.  But Miley is fearful, nervous and responds better when I call her "Sweet Girl, Sweetie"  or anything other than Miley.  Since it is so much fun to name a puppy.  Would you like to help?

Miley is a 10 month old Mini Australian Labradoodle.  Sweet as can be, likes to cuddle, has mad zoomie skills.  I've had good luck with "C" names.  Clover, Chelsea and Callie have been taken.  Chloe, Carly and Cocopuff are a couple that comes to mind.  Actually Cocopuff was Lexi's idea and all she thinks about is food.  Lexi that is not Miley.

So give me some names, please?

Bissinger or Ghirardelli.

Heh, if you named her Godiva, her nick name could be Diva.

Fannie May is kinda funny too!

ETA: Whoops! I clearly didn't read previous posts before hitting "Add Reply"

Candy?  Cassie? Kami? I was trying to keep it similar to Sweetie.

I just wanted to tell everyone THANK YOU for all the great name suggestions.   It was alot of fun, but Miley just can't seem to decide on a new name yet.  Maybe it is not up to me to decide.  So for now she will be SWEETIE to me.

why not just name her "Sweetie" then? When I adopted my cat I couldn't settle on a name and always called her "Kitty". I finally named her Penelope, Penny for short. I told everyone her name, and now my friends ask how Penny is doing... it takes me a minute to realize who they are talking about. After all the naming exercises, I still call her Kitty 100% of the time. I guess that's what fit. So she's Penelope on paper, Penny to my friends, and Kitty to me.
Sherri, I so understand your thinking.  Our dear old Weiner was a bassett/beagle mix.  When we adopted him his name was Wes, which he never really responded to.  One day I was so frustrated because I just never could remember that name and called out Animal.  That dog perked up, turned around, looked at me and came running as fast as his little legs could carry him.  Eventually I started calling him Weiner since he was scared of everything.  If I couldn't get his attention though all I had to say was Animal.  RIP Weiner
Ha-ha! I can relate to that. I accidentally blurted out, "Puppy!" today and Zeus immediately responded. He's still trying to learn his name, so it's a hit-or-miss when I call him. I guess he's used to hearing "puppy" from the rescue because he bunked with his littermates there for nearly 5 months and I'll bet it was sometimes hard to tell them apart.
I should add that when I got her from the SPCA she was called "Brenda". What a ridiculous name for a cat!!
LOL
My mom had a black cat who was officially named Hop-along Cassidy after an old TV cowboy who always wore black.  The cat was always called KILLER. Sometimes names just happen.  I think Sweetie is a sweet name!

Sounds like Sweetie has chosen her own name. Would you please post some more pix of her, Tina? I just love her coloring and would like to see more of her. :-)

Later today.  I'm hoping after 4 days she is a little more relaxed so I can get some fun shots.
