Doodle Lovers Cruise******UPDATE

4 OR 5 NIGHT CRUISE - OCTOBER OF 2012 that gives you 14 months to save up. Who has interest? Please let us know by the end of the day on 8/16?! We are serious about getting this thing booked.

In Laurie's blog about sleeping habits of dogs and children, I was making mention of being on a cruise - Mimi Linna made the comment that she'd love to cruise with me - and this got me thinking. Wouldn't in be a blast to organize a cruise and have everyone who could make it from DK go? If a spouse could come great but if not there would be some (like me) who would go solo and be willing to share a cabin. The saddest thing would be of course no doodles on board - but I can just see us with matching DK shirts on doing the conga line through the bar. Perhaps Flat doodle could come and the Intercourse Tee-shirt. I know that this is something that not everyone would/could make time for or afford but would anyone have any interest if I started to gather some information? I'm sure that once we'd get to a certain group size that there might be a group discount. Anyone have interest?

Jane If you can get a specific ball park cost I may be able to figure out if we can go. Our 3rd anniversary is in October-not even sure if my DH will go on a cruise. I have to figure in the flight to Florida also so we will see. looking forward to your update!

Jennifer - as soon as I have specifics I'll be posting them. We are doing everything we can to make this affordable so that as many people can attend as possible! You have 14 months - so I say to everyone - pack you lunch - skip the Starbucks and throw that money in the Cruise Jar!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lilly won't be happy when I quit buying her crap.. my husband will be over the moon happy.. what a wonderful adventure to look forward to..the cruise will be nice but meeting all you wonderful doodle friends will be the best!

Sounds like a blast..... and I LOVE cruises. It would be so nice to do the islands, on a boat I do not have to take watches on and do all the cooking and cleaning!!! Having spent 10 years living on a boat in the Caribbean, I could maybe show you areas that the``Cruise Directors`` can`t. Would be awesome to meet my DK buddies!!!
