Is there anything special I should do for my 12 week old to compensate for the heat? She doesnt want to be outside very often and likes to sit on the a/c vents. Unfortunately, she has also peed in an a/c vent twice.

OMD! The air must have gotten to her to make her do that in the vent!

They have what they call cool beds for dogs that can be found online.

Be careful with her laying on the vents because there have been a few posts where the dog tags from their collar get caught in the air vent!!

12 weeks old-not really sure but if it's that hot I wouldn't take her out anyway. Kiddie swimming pool for the patio/yard?

Sorry-that's all I have-you'll get some more info from the others-good luck!!

Sadie doesn't seem to mind the heat (she's good at finding shade) but I'm careful to keep her hydrated. Sometimes I freeze water in a small tupperware container (maybe 4 ounces?) and give her the big block of ice to play with in the yard. She loves it.
No advice, but how hilarious that she has peed in the AC vents.
Can you place some over the vent that lets the cool air through but prevents her laying on it, a wicker basket of some sort?  Maybe the cool air stimulated her pee urge.

Your little girl is adorable!!! I used to give Tara ice to chew on. I would break up ice cubes so the pieces were small enough that she wouldn't choke on them. She really seemed to enjoy them.  Also some of our former dogs like to lay in front of floor fans when they were too warm.  You might have to desensitize her to the fan noise and air movement though.

They also make cooling vests for dogs but I don't know if they make them small enough for a 12 week old!  But they might.  Okay, that's about all I have...

Amante likes to lay and sleep by the AC vents. He never peed in them LOL!! AHHH these doodles.
