Actually, I'm trying to talk my DH into doing a "shakedown cruise" this Fall....not sure I can wait.  So far he's not buying it, but we'll see.  Of course we'd still do the "REAL" cruise with all our DK friends.  I'll email him and call on Monday.
LOL - you, Dori and I - he he.  I'd be ALL over that!

I would like to do a trial cruise.  If I only bring Rua to daycare once a week, instead of twice a week, for 3 months, I could save $250...hmmm.  Wait, what am I thinking.  I'd rather cut out a bottle of wine once per week.  So, I could so a trial cruise in January/February 2012.  We usually go to Ft. Myers FL end of January (my BD is the 23rd) or the beginning of Feb (my MIL is on the 5th), so I am thinking I could swing one.  Are you serious, Jane???????

Dori you are a dangerous gal - gotta love that!  Seriously though girl - don't ya think your dh might get suspicious - LOL.  I might be arm twisted to go early but really think we should wait.  Save our money for excursions or SHOPPING!
I actually am serious, although when I mentioned it to DH last night he was not in favor of it.  He thinks it's just me being impatient (I tend to be that way), and thinks it would spoil the "real" cruise if we experience everything in advance.  I'm still thinking about it.
Todd won't be back into the office until Monday - at least that's what his auto-reply says.  Oh well, I guess some of us will have to practice a little patience - which is VERY hard for me!!!!
Deanna - send him an email with all of your info - then call him Monday a.m.   Give your full legal name, address, birth date - not need to give payment info - do that direct on the phone and give him your cabin choice.
Cruisers - for this cruise you do NOT need to have a Passport.  If you have one please travel with it, it is a great help in time of extreme emergency (which is unlikely).  If you do not have a passport and would like one - Todd can help with that but you do not have to have one for this cruise.

Thanks Jane, good to know (can I ask why) I have never had one and my DH's is expired. He said, remember honey we also have to get passports.

Todd did tell me that if you have an emergency and do not have a Passport, they will not let you on the plane or something. We are getting a Passport to be safe.
Here is an example but remember this is highly nu-likely.  Last year a cruise ship blew an engine - they wanted to tow it to Mexico and then fly or bus the passengers back to the U.S.  They couldn't do that because many people did not have passports and therefore would never have been allowed off of that ship in Mexico.  You do not have to have a passport for this trip but I will tell you this - a passport is the BEST THING to ever take with you if you step out of the country.  My humble opinion.

By Monday I am pretty sure DH will be on board with the cruise....got to work it! He said he would like to see the itinerary first....well now he can.

Is anyone else going on the cheap, as in the interior state rooms. I mean really it's for sleeping right? And I am concerned about the rocking of the boat, seems it would be worse in a balcony room. Never been on a cruise but so want to go on this one!
