We might have a new dog (I hope)

http://www.doodlekisses.com/video/charlie Today at our shop around 10:45-ish someone dropped off a (poodle, bichon, maltese?) dog. After his groom we called his owner, no answer. We called several times after that but still, no answer. We close at 7:00 so we waited and waited and waited until 7:30, but his owner never came for him. My dad printed out a map from mapquest of the adress the owner gave us then came home. We went in search of his owner. He said the house was house #12 the problem was that that street was only odd #'s (5,7,9 ect).

So we asked some other people that seemed like they weren't sleeping yet. None of them ever heard of him. So after a while we gave up for the night. We are planning on bringing him too our shop tommorow to see if his owner comes back.

 

Anyways, his (supposed) name is Charlie (we aren't sure because on the info card the owner gave us it says his name is Sul Charlie, he is very loving, young (2 at the very most, he has very white teeth), he is fluffy, unfixed, has a pretty bad ear infection in both ears, he is a sweet heart. Who knows maybe he is a something-doodle. If his owner dosen't come tomorrow I hope we can keep him. Here is a video I just took of him.

UPDATE:

My dad gave Charlie away. :( :( :(  He gve him to one of the reseptonists at the optometrist next to our shop. She already has a dog just like him. They are going to give him to her later today. I am feeling so sad. My mom and dad say we dont have any time for him, but I would have loved to take care of him. He could have been my resposibility. The lady said that if it dosen't work out she will bring him back. I hope it dosen't work out, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to keep him.

wow, i'll be interested to see how this develops.. Wishing you the best.... I agree with everyone else, that the person who dropped him off seems to care about this dog.  I wonder what the circumstances are....

My sis in law owns a grooming shop and the same thing happened to her...only it was a chi-wawa...sorry, don't have time to look up proper spelling, lunch almost over.  Long story short, they had the dog checked by a vet, no microchip. Her daughter who works with her ended up keeping the dog as it fell in love with one of her little girls. The dog lives like a princess today.

Sounds like either something happened to the owner or this was an owner who, for whatever reason, couldn't care for this dog any more and didn't want to drop it off at a shelter...?

Bryce, I know this is very hard but I am sure your Dad knows what is the best.  When you are older you will be able to make your own decisions and will be able to have your own dog whether it is a rescue or a planned puppy.  For now keep coming onto DK and share your passion for Doodles with all of us.  You write really well and we are always happy to hear what you have to say.  Let us all hope that Charlie has a happy home with the receptionist (even though I know you would like him back) because it would be good if he did not have to be shipped around the place from home to home.

Obviously the owner new you were could people and that would that he was taken care of. Were there any results with the chip? I am sure poor charlie has a story!!!

My mom and dad didnt even bother to get him scanned. He wasnt fixed so my parents think he was chipped.

Do you know the receptionist?  Perhaps you will be able to go visit him?  You still have wonderful Huff to love on and thats more than some folks have.  Be glad that your family was able to give him to a loving home without him going from foster to foster or worse.  Hang in there, better days ahead.
