So, Toby's cone came off this morning.  Yay.  His paw isn't sore at all - no limping or anything.  We went for our first little walk in 2 1/2 weeks - great.  I am watching him well, however, once of twice I have caught him licking his paw.  It is a little "open" as in not completely scabbed over.  I will, of course, cone him overnight for the next week or so, but I really want to leave it off through the day.  If no one can be with him or watch him I will cone him, but he's so darn quiet and sneaky about it.  Currently he is wearing a striped sock as a preventative measure.  Poor guy.  I really think it needs the air to heal over well.  We just need to get over this hump, I guess.

Good news Sandy, but we really need a picture of Toby with his striped sock!
I just took one.  I'll post it when I can go upstairs.  I just want to tell him "Buddy - if you leave it alone this will all be over that much sooner."
Oh, you guys are sooooo close to the end of this!!! Almost there!! So glad that he is doing so well!
Well you're over the first hump and I'm so glad that he can now get out and walk.  It's so hard to control the licking...good luck and keep us posted.
Hoping you can breathe a little easier now and Toby heals completely.
