I am not brave, honestly, I am not. If I could trade myself in for a healthy person and still be me, I would in a second. If I could chose Jack to be healthy I would.. I would not chose the brave way at all.. I just don't have a choice, none of us do when it comes to things out of our hands...so you do what you have to..

 

Jack is my life and I would do anything for that boy....and we both thank you for your prayers..

That is a lot to take in. I hope the rest of the results are good. I wonder if your breeder will cover any of your out of pocket expenses. Good luck with the rest of the tests. I'm thinking of you.

Thanks F. Our breeder is amazing. I really love her a lot, I have gotten to know her well over the years with Jack and now Molly, She has always been concerned with Jack and all her babies. I adore her very much and she has a lot of integrity......

 

It really is a lot to process, so many things don't seem like they are even linked together that are wrong. It is just weird

Jennifer, Thank you so much for posting this update. As you said this will probably be treatable and Jack will be able to live a long and healthy life with care. Jack was certainly meant to be your doodle. What a gift you are to one another. Be sure to let us know as the tests come back. Waiting with bated breath and lots of prayers. What a special guy your Jack is to tenderly comfort the grieving woman next to you. Sweet, sweet boy.

It really touched my heart to see Jack climb over the chairs and put his head in her lap... I really couldn't watch because it was all I could do not to cry for her.... Jack is my hero and has an uncanny way of knowing how to comfort.

I'm glad you're keeping a positive attitude; no, this is not ideal, but far from the worst it could be, and being positive is half the battle, in my experience.

Thanks Karen......I agree with you, and it is much easier to have a positive attitude when you have so many people who are as amazing as the people on this website.. really any time one of us has an issue, everyone just jumps on board and lends support..  I love DK for this reason alone.
