BAILEY

Meet Bailey! He is a 4 month old labradoodle who ended up at a high kill shelter with his brothers, Boston and Bozwell. We're trying to get him out -- can you help?

Bailey is a sweet, sweet boy. He loves people and is very affectionate. He would be great going on long walks and even runs.

Bailey is very good with other dogs. He loves to play! He would be a fabulous dog-park dog -- and he would do great in doggie daycare. We think he is ok with cats, but can confirm.

Bailey will probably need some help with his housebreaking. He should be crate trained.

Bailey's adopters will need to get him neutered by 1/1/2009. They will also need to enroll him in puppy obedience school so he grows up to be a well socialized dog!

Please help us save Bailey. Time is running out. Foster, Sponosr, or Adopt him today!

The adoption fee for Bailey is $325, which includes the cost of transport and routine vetting, including vaccinations. Please download and complete an Adoption Application, then email the completed form to Barbara at benrusty555@yahoo.comif you are interested in adopting Bailey!

BOSTON

Boston is an extremely cool dog. He loves people and desperately wants a family of his own. He loves to give and get kisses!!! He would be a fabulous family dog!

Boston is very good with other dogs, too. There is not an aggressive bone in his body. And, he just loves to play! He would be a perfect dog-park dog -- and he would do great in doggie daycare. We think he is ok with cats, but can confirm.

Boston will probably need some help with his housebreaking. He should be crate trained.

Boston's adopters will need to get him neutered by 1/1/2009. They will also need to enroll him in puppy obedience school so he grows up to be a well socialized dog!

Please help us save Boston. Time is running out. Foster, Sponosr, or Adopt him today!

BOSWELL

Bozwell is a people pleaser. He loves people and desperately wants to do anything he can to make them happy! He loves kisses, ear scratches and belly rubs!!! He enjoys going on walks and exploring the neigborhood as well!

Bozwell is very good with other dogs. There is not an aggressive bone in his body. And, he just loves to play! He would be a great addition to an existing dog family! We think he is ok with cats, but can confirm.

Bozwell will probably need some help with his housebreaking since he is a shelter puppy. He should be crate trained.

Maybe the Obamas will rescue one
I have several cousins in DC and Baltimore and just forwarded to them to spread the word!
I will say an extra prayer for him. If someone doesn't live in DC & would like to foster is there a way to make it possible?
I would email Barbara and ask her if transport is available...I have an email into her myself....I'll let you know as soon as I get a response......
Many high-kill shelters work with rescues and transport systems to move dogs to safety; what they need is a definite place (foster home) to go to. You would need to apply and be approved as a foster for the rescue group which is pulling the dog. Long distance arrangements do happen, but are rare. The fastest way to help these dogs would be to contact the person whose e-mail Jacquie provided, or contact the rescue through the link provided, and ask what you can do to help.
I emailed Barbara, they want to place the puppies locally. She was so nice, emailed me a couple of times, I had to give a donation to their place :-))

It has never been this bad in rescue, and they survive only by donations; your donation will make a difference. With everyone feeling the pinch of this economy, charitable donations are the first thing to be cut from many people's budgets. Thank you for helping save these lives.
