Our goldendoodle Doogle jumped right on top of the dining table last night - what a shock!! He's only 7 months old too. We're used to him always jumping up and putting his paws on kitchen worktops and tables but this is something else entirely. He was trying to get a chew i had put there earlier and decided to just stand on top of the table, but must have enjoyed it as he repeated this 3 times after. Have always had big dogs but none have ever done this LOL. Only trouble is he's so heavy to lift down again!!!

My family Bichon Frise, Yoshi (about 14 pounds) used to jump on the table all the time.  If any chair was pushed out slightly from the table, she'd be up there looking for food when we weren't looking.

One time we left a pot of spaghetti sauce to cool up there while we went out to do some errands... came back because my mom forgot her wallet and found the spaghetti sauce with a muzzle-sized hole in it... and guilt ALL OVER Yoshi's face (Bichon Frises are white).

Thankfully, Luna hasn't figured out she can jump ;)  She doesn't even know how to jump on the bed, even though she jumps into the car just fine.

wow - a small dog jumping that high too!!! It's like these doodles have springs in their legs :)
OMD!  That is funny...where is the pic?  ;o)
never a camera around when you need one - i will make sure i get one if he does it again :)
YOU NEED A PICTURE!  LOL  sorry to laugh, but these doodles are too funny!
I know, they are so funny - only had doogle for 6 months now but what a lovely fun gentle boy he is! Not sure what we can do to discourage the jumping on tables - so any advice gratefully received :)))
haha...Izzy did that also at around the same age. I had put her Hedgehog stuffie to be sewn on the table and she wanted it back so bad she jumped!!! I think she shocked herself because when she got up there she froze:) I was also shocked but laughing so hard I was crying. Thankfully, she never did it again. Sorry, no suggestions. You need something to startle her when she jumps.
Axl did the same thing last week.  TWICE!  Hopped up on the chair & right on the table.  We learned early on to keep the napkins out of the napkin holder so the only thing we have on the table now are the salt & pepper shakers.  I guess he thoguht those were REALLY interesting that day.  Getting him down was interesting b/c he didn't want to go back the way he got up.  So now we try to keep the chairs pushed in as far as we can, easier said than done.  He's quick.  I got up for 6 seconds the other day to get a spoon, and that was the 2nd time he got up on the table.  I'm waiting for the table to collapse under his 50 pounds of puppy weight!
LOL...Traveler does this too, though not very often.  The table is close to the door, and when he's really excited about people coming in and is trying not to jump up on them, he jumps up on the table instead.  Adds to the chaos, that's for sure!
