In the off chance that I cannot keep up with grooming Toby (I'm just not very good at it......) does anyone know of a good groomer in Southern Ontario? I am not interested in having him crated while they work on another dog. I want someone who will start on Toby and just keep going with him until he's done. Focus on my baby, please. :) He's not crated at home, I don't want him crated there either. He is in no way aggressive, but he does blatantly ignore the groomer, lean away, try to sit/lay, refuse to look, etc. He does this with me too.
Really, I just don't feel like I can keep up. Every stinking time I brush him I find knots/matts - especially around his face. He is so blooming hairy. I swear - when he is cut the hair we gather up could created a new small animal. If I just cut hair out because it's knotted you can't ever tell. He's just....hairy. :) Also, I find it really hair to keep his legs combed out. He really dislike having them combed/brushed. I have no problem with having the hair on his legs nice and short, so maybe I should just use the clippers on them twice a month or so.
At this point, I think I'd just like to pay someone for a nice, professional groom, and then maybe once he is "right" I can start over again.

Hi Sandy
I know how you feel. I gave Kirby a bath over Labor Day, and she had millions of spiral curls everywhere! Although they were oh so cute, it was only a matter of a couple days when they all matted together. Then I had a real mess, and just this week had to have her shaved. I used to live in Mississauga, but sorry, don't know of groomers out there.
