Howlween costume ideas

My 28 year old daughter (lives in Baltimore, MD) wants me to make her and her dog either matching costumes or costumes that go with each other - any great ideas out there?

Think Ill go as the headless hourse man and just Dye Spud orange Again , he will be the pumkin

Here are a few very simple ideas for a dog and his or her owner.

DOG- OWNER-

cowboy bandana & hat Native American headband

reindeer antlers Santa hat possibly suit or beard

doggy life jacket/sunglasses dress up like a swimmer-bring beach towel-sunglasses

raincoat umbrella/raincoat wet your hair like you got soaked

Both of them could dress up as clowns- hat and collar

Not so simple-

pumpkin scarecrow

hot dog hot dog vendor

walking picnic table carry picnic basket-wear shorts, etc.

(wear a checkered tablecloth cape

with plastic fruit/food glued or

pinned on)

These ideas were used for several October group therapy dog visits to nursing homes. One year all of the dogs went as pumpkins. We told everyone we were showing them a pumpkin patch. A few handlers dressed up as scarecrows. This turned out great! Another year all of the dogs wore reindeer antlers. One person carried a huge Santa. We told everyone that Santa and his "reindogs" were there to see if they have been naughty or nice. It was a riot! Everyone involved laughed and laughed:0) I think Halloween is probably my favorite holiday!!! Have fun coming up with some thing fantastic!!!!!!
