New Dog Bed for Winston

[Sherri, Sophie, Winston, & Kitty]

I'd like to get Winston a nice new dog bed. Something that will last a long time but with a cover I can remove and wash. there are so many different kinds and they can be quite pricey so I want to be sure to get the right kind.

 

Any suggestions of what kind to get?  What are some good online spots for dog bed shopping?

I got Chewie a SNOOZA Pet Futon..it's great for warmer climates like Thailand.

But I don't think it's available in the US though  (it's an Australian brand)

I've always thought a toddler bed would be a good dog bed . . . .haven't seen anyone use this before, but a toddler bed uses a crib mattress, is low to the floor and could use washable sheets.  Just a thought. . . .

I have been considering getting a crib mattress with a dust-proof cover and just using a comforter on top. The size would be just about right.

The downside to ordering online is the return shipping if your dog doesn't like the bed.  I can't tell you how many we have returned because our guys wouldn't go near it let alone sleep on it!  Right now their favorite "bed" is a folded king-size comforter that I put a sheet on.  They really hated anything that had a cedar smell to it and Clifford was afraid of any that were too puffy and sunk down if he put a foot on it.

Sandy, Fudge and Vern are the same way and almost always prefer the floor. I have a ton of beds that they might lie down on for just a bit and then go back to the floor. The one bed they both like and it was a cheapie from Target is the one above.

I can't wait until we get Target here. They have recently bought out a similar Canadian company and are planning to convert all the stores.
