The trapper is pointing to "our" gator - yes they got him!!!!!!  Sad to say he is going to be killed but all the parts are sold and used for something - nothing goes to waste.  The money is put into a fund to provide education and other gator type programs.  He was 6 ft 9 in.  Na na na naaaaa, hey hey hey good bye!!!!  They had a busy day - he was #3.

Oh my doodle what a relief!!! I read your other post just now and my heart was in my throat. I would have soo unbelievably terrified! I am so relieved that all worked out ok. You need to seriously consider moving. I don't think I could handle gators in my back yard. I panick when i see a spider or insect. I hope you're having a glass of wine and taking it easy after all that drama. Hugs from me and sloppy doodle kisses from my furbabies.

Sherri - this is where dh wants to live and if he were retired it wouldn't all fall on me but he works out of state during the week.  Spiders are the scaryiest things EVER and my biggest fear - but not every one is dangerous - gators however will eat what ever they can.  Rooney is the perfect snack size.  I'm going to ask dh if we could buy a different lot here - maybe if we ever get our northern house sold we could build on a lot big enough for a fence or I could win the lottery - lol.

Glad to hear they got your gator. In your original post you said they can move between lakes through tubes. Are all these lakes in your community? Would they be able to put up gates or something to prevent them from moving through the tubes and restrict the gators to a particular lake or area?

I have always wondered this myself--why don't they put some kind of screen over the culverts? It's one of those Florida mysteries I haven't figured out yet. The gators can still move around on land, but at least it would keep them from sneaking around underwater.

So glad YOUR gator got busted!! He had absolutely no business scaring you like he did! So glad Rooney and Stuart will be safe -- at least for a little while! I will continue to save my pennies in my 'Free Jane' jar!

Actually, now that I look at this--it is NOT funny.  Sorry.  Just thought you should ward off the evil spirits with Halloween Costumes.  You know, scare the real ones away for GOOD
