The Frizzy look after Brushing....what to do to get the curl back?

Trixie has a frizzy Butt- LOL

Especially after I comb or brush her...She really is frizzy all over then. (Kind of like my hair : (  )

 

I love her after a bath before she has been combed or brushed...I sometimes wait a week to comb her so I can enjoy her.... Im not sure what it would be called...A bit of a twisted curl.

 

once she is brushed she stays frizzy until her next bath- which I dont do real often.

 

Can the curl be brougt back...Would Spritzing her with water help?  or is there a product to use?

 

I like her fur long...But she was kind of loosing her eye sight...So this week I got brave & did a Little trim.

As fare as the frizzies...they can be a pain can't they?  Lol...

You can spritz some water on her after you comb and brush her out...and the curls will come back!

Barb has a really great lemon spray that works wonders on their coat...and you make it yourself.

Just type in lemon rinse in the search box...and it will come up for you.

I also find that Cowboy Magic is not only good for mats...but is a great conditioner for the coat too.

Yes, you can spritz her. I suggest you make some of the lemon water rinse and use half rinse and half water and spritz after a brushing session. I love the little dreds too, so I usually don't brush between baths. Makes for a bigger brushing job before a bath but I like the look. I still check for mattes and deal with them if they come up. I don't find many mattes on dogs who are finished the puppy coat change.

Mimi- Trixie is 8 Months...I have alot of pictures of her in my photos if you want to see what she looked like when she was younger.

 

Thanks Helen-I guess I am lucky that her beard does not get stained.  Although she only eats dry kibble...Nothing else because it all upsets her stomach.

My Chewie loses his curls too after a bath, brush and blow dry too.

His curls comes back in a week or so. But if you want to speed it up, try wetting your hands and run them through his coat a few times.
