Bailey is 5 months old.  I have been feeding her based on the directions recommended on her kibble bag.  She used to gobble up her food 2 times a day.

I have noticed in the past month or so that she isn't quite as hungry in the AM and just wants to graze throughout the day.  Sometimes she still has food left at dinner time.  I hardly ever give her treats to snack on other than a bully stick to chew on.

Should I possibly change her eating schedule to once a day but give her the same amount...

What are your thoughts?

Riley changed his eating pattern also at 5months. He used to gobble it all up before then but was much less interested and left lots of his breakfast.  I left it down at first and let him graze.  Now I have changed and feed him two meals a day.  I add green beans chopped up into the breakfast meal and a spoonful of yogurt to the evening meal.  I lift the bowl after 20 minutes if he doesn't finish it but that is rare now.  He gets a bully stick and either some apple or carrot to snack on during the day.  He still doesn't eat the full recommended amount but is growing well and still gaining weight though at a slower rate.

I think this is pretty normal from what I have read but it was a little scary going from no problems to suddenly being a picky eater.

Oooh, so when did you stop feeding your riley 3x a day?
It was five months and one week.   It was much sooner than I expected but he just wasn't eating three meals a day.
Daisy now eats 2-1/2 cups per day, when she was younger she ate 3. We feed Acana twice daily. She does not get treats, doesn't care for them except when a client brings one in for her, then she loves them...weird.
I see nothing wrong with grazers and actually feel it is probably best for them as they can regulate their eating to their own appetites throughout the day instead of gouging on one meal cuz they are starving. But that is just my opinion and I have two chow hounds that would eat 10 times a day if I kept filling the bowl, So to me grazing is not happening.

Thanks for the advice.  She is not being pick, she is just not quite as hungry in the AM.  Of course after I posted this, she cleaned her bowl the next AM...

Who knows....

We have an opposite problem. I had to buy a new bowl a couple of weeks ago. Now Camus eats from a 2 liters bowl. Usually I only put 2/3 of a bowl. There was only one size bigger in the store. 8(

Probably, it's different b/c he is eats raw.

Camus eats 2 times a day.
