Must Have Product

When you set up your DK profile, you are asked for your “favorite doodle product”.  I originally thought it was an interesting question, but didn’t really have any “must have” items in my arsenal.  Sure, having a grooming table is important, but I could always go back to putting my dogs up on the bathroom counter for ear cleaning and nail trimming.  I love my Les Pooch brush, but if something happened to it, I could easily use one of the other dozen combs/brushes that I have until I got around to ordering a replacement.  I really like having my blower/dryer but the dogs would eventually air-dry without it.

 

Well, yesterday I found out that I really do have a “Must Have” product.  For the past year I have been using a cordless dremel on my doodles’ nails.  During the last month, I noticed that it was taking longer to charge and I would have to charge it before every use.  I decided that I was going to put a corded nail grinder (one with a light) on my xmas list.  Well last night, my dremel died right in the middle of a nail trimming session.  I think Cubbie actually had a look of relief on his face when he realized that I was out of power.  I ran out to the local hardware stores looking for a replacement battery but no luck.  I came home and ordered myself a new grinder online, but won’t get it until the middle of next week.  I feel lost without it!

 

So I am curious, does anyone else out there have a product/item that they wouldn’t want to be without?

Hmmm.  I guess I would have to say a rolled leather collar for Ned. I actually keep his old one as a back-up.  His coat mats terribly around flat collars.  And I would also have to say the LesPouchs slicker brush and a steel comb - again, for Ned.  He has such a high-maintenance coat! Although now that we are keeping him shorter I could at least survive until I received a new one in the mail.

That reminded me that I couldn't do without one of Ollie's beard towels.  When we don't wipe his face, we end up with wet socks from the mess he leaves all over the floor!

That I wouldn't WANT to be without:   #1 the Les Pooch Brush.  I would never have made it to 3.5 years without it.  Second would be my Dog Bath Tub.  My back would not have survived 3.5 years of bending over the bathtub.  Third would probably be the Gentle Leaders (although without them I may have just forced myself to make the learn to walk better on a regular collar...now I still have that to accomplish).    Those would be my top 3.  I have lots of others things I love, but these are the ones I would struggle without.

Fence.   Not really a product but it sure can not live life day to day without one.
