This may be a personal question for some of you, but I'm just curious. For those who allow their dog to sleep in their bedroom, what do you do when you're "in the mood"??
We've had Bentley for a couple of months and he sleeps in the kitchen with a dog gate. We love having him with us so we decided to let him sleep in our room last night. He did sooo good. But when I woke up this morning and was, uh, "in the mood", I realized I couldn't do anything because there was Bentley in bed with us. I don't like the idea of a dog watching, and I don't like not having freedom to be intimate. It seems that if he's going to sleep in our room, I'll have to put him out whenever we want to have sex. Or we just have him sleep in the kitchen which he's been happily doing since we've had him.
Thoughts? Feedback? Am I crazy or overanalyzing, as my fiance thinks. haha!

LOL! I have a small doodle that likes to sleep at my feet but my other two are downstairs and perfectly happy. It isn't much of a problem for me, since my hubby and I have been married for 33 years and, well, things do calm down at our age!
If the mood strikes us, we just give her a little nudge and she goes on to the floor, but it isn't a problem very often--unfortunately! If I were younger, though, and felt the way you do, I would either train Bentley to sleep on a dog bed in the room, which is what my previous dogs did for years, or keep him downstairs for good. If it doesn't bother him to be down there and it bothers you to have him in the room with you during a romantic interlude, then you need to put your wishes first. Otherwise, someone (maybe your fiance?) will end up resenting him for being in the bed and it will be harder to change the habit he has.
Now this is a question that I don't think has ever been asked on here! Congratulations on your bravery! Our guy sleeps on the floor and does not react to any activity in the bed. Although once, early on, he leaped right up, thinking it was play time. He got shut out that night lol! If everyone is happy with him sleeping in the kitchen, I would leave it as is.
Too funny post...
Our dog Winston slept in our room on the floor and he heard "something" going on. He jumped on the bed and started barking and jumping on my DH...I never laughed so hard....and my DH's comment..."now that was a real cold shower"...LOL
I say if he has been content in the kitchen, keep him there... That way no problems...
