This may be a personal question for some of you, but I'm just curious.  For those who allow their dog to sleep in their bedroom, what do you do when you're "in the mood"??

We've had Bentley for a couple of months and he sleeps in the kitchen with a dog gate.  We love having him with us so we decided to let him sleep in our room last night.  He did sooo good. But when I woke up this morning and was, uh, "in the mood", I realized I couldn't do anything because there was Bentley in bed with us.  I don't like the idea of a dog watching, and I don't like not having freedom to be intimate.  It seems that if he's going to sleep in our room, I'll have to put him out whenever we want to have sex.  Or we just have him sleep in the kitchen which he's been happily doing since we've had him.

Thoughts?  Feedback?  Am I crazy or overanalyzing, as my fiance thinks. haha!

If our Doodles could talk?
This reminds me of that show on bravo "flipping out"...they had this dog psychic come in and she told Jeff Lewis that his dog "likes" when he and his partner are intimate! I was cracking up!

Daisy is always where we are....fortunately never on the bed. Daisy is usually sleeping when the lights are out and once she's sleeping she just, well, sleeps.

Having Daisy does cut into any afternoon "naps" so now we are also actually just napping - LOL

I let my doods take naps with me but at night they are in the kitchen in their crates.  Works for us.

In our old house, the dogs used to sleep downstairs so it was never an issue.  Now we live in an old farmhouse, in a rural area and my husband used to work away a lot so we decided that the dogs could sleep upstairs in the bedroom with us.  They both sleep on their own beds on the floor.  Our one LD couldn't care less when we start to get intimate - he just sleeps through the whole thing.  But our other LD gets very excited, he paces the room, starts panting and sits and stares at us.  It is very distracting and off-putting!!  But, if we tried to shut him out of the room he would howl so we just try to ignore him and hope that one day he will get bored of it and settle down!!  It does make things awkward though!
Oh dear--that is so funny! I would be totally distracted by that--he probably is one of those dogs that worries about people and thinks that maybe one of you is hurting the other one---after all, it does sometimes sound like someone is getting hurt, doesn't it!

Why would this bother anyone?

Laurie, there must be something extraordinary happening in your bedroom! That poor dog is scarred for life!
I don't like to brag :)
LOL!  And Donna, it was originally a Doodle!
I have got to go to sleep. I am laughing out loud and my poor husband is trying to sleep. He'd better not think I am up for any spontaneous shenanigans when I am on DK :)
LMAO!!!!     Donna and Laurie.....you 2 always keep me entertained!
