Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
It's raining doodles in TN and DRC has been asked to take 6 beautiful, needful souls, (some with critical health issues) into our rescue program.
We are putting a call out for TRANSPORT & FOSTER ASSISTANCE in the KNOXVILLE, CHATANOOGA & NASHVILLE AREAS. Or within reasonable driving distance of these locations in neighboring states such as GEORGIA, ALABAMA, THE CAROLINAS, KENTUCKY AND VIRGINIA.
Most urgent are 2 Heartworm-positive girls.....
...and 2 adorable boys from a neglect situation.
These dogs are a bit shy and confused at the moment but all are incredibly sweet, loving, resilient and willing to trust and love anyone offering even the smallest bit of human kindness.
They will need patient reassurance, encouragement and most importantly safe haven until we can get them healthy and placed into wonderful forever homes.
If you are able to help in any way, please call us directly at 973-707-7089 or email us directly at: rescue@doodlerescue.org
Thank you all so very much for your unyielding support, continuous encouragement and your dedication to DRC and doodles-in-need!Tags:
The 2 boys from the neglect situation are 2 of 4 originally reported to animal welfare officers as abandoned. Sadly one of the dogs was hit and killed by a car while trying to cross the highway literally minutes before animal control arrived to take the dogs into custody. Heart wrenching for all involved......
The female was adopted and has a fantastic home with a shelter board member who already has another doodle. The two boys are shy but just as sweet as can be......: )
There is a $1000 reward being offered by a shelter supporter for any information that leads to the arrest of the individual who is responsible.
As soon as I stopped crying, I went to the DRC site to donate. I wish I was closer and could do more. :(
I just don't understand how people can neglect a poor helpless animal like that. Those pictures were just horrible.
