NEED A "DOODLE TRAIN" LEG FROM EITHER ROANOKE, VA OR RALEIGH, NC TOWARDS DC AREA FRIDAY AFTERNOON!

Hi All.

We are desperately trying to get our two neglected boys from TN to Diane Marra and Colleen Ewart in the Woodbridge VA (DC burb) area and we have two routes that can work.

The wonderful transport volunter from the shelter is willing to drive the boys as far as:

Roanoke, VA  in which case we need someone to pick up from there and drive to Harrisonburg, VA

or

Ronna Wood and Linda Rubin can meet the volunteer near the Hickory NC area and bring the boys to Raleigh, NC where they will need to be trained up towards the Mechanicsville, VA area where Diane can pick up.

 

Is there anyone along those routes available to spare a few hours and drive 2 sweet boys towards their foster home in Woodbridge, VA on Friday afternoon?

There were 4 doodles found in this horrible conditionin Newport, TN.  One of them was hit and killed by a car on a highway minutes before Animal Control showed up to take them into safety.  Of the three remaining, the female was adopted by a shelter employee and the shelter reached out to us to take the two boys into our program.  They were all horribly neglected, left to fend for themselves in a barn.  They all were severely matted and covered in feces and dirt.  Both boys have been shaved down and literally lost 11lbs of mats from their bodies.  Both boys were neutered today and are now coming down with upper respiratory infections...it is imperative that we get these boys out of the shelter ASAP!  Please can anyone help with this last leg of transport!?!

So happy these boys are on their way to a brighter future. I cannot get this picture out of my head, it literally makes me sick.
