UPDATE: 2 Male Tennessee Doodles-they are safe!!!

Thank you to the DRC and all of you that were concerned about these dear doodles.  I also want to thank my husband for all of his support and my mom who traveled with me today to love on 2 of the stinkiest and loving doodles I have had the privilege to meet! 

I drove to Roanoke, Va today (Friday) from Manassas to meet up with volunteers from the Tennessee shelter.  What a wonderful couple these shelter volunteers were that went the extra mile today.

The whole thing was very emotional and a bit overwhelming for me........
OK, A LOT overwhelming .....good old mom, we don't always get along but I saw a side of her that was new and wonderful.  She sat sideways in the front seat to let one of the doodles lay his head on her arm....she was so uncomfortable but insisted on doing it for this doodle!  Yea Mom!  

Did I  mention how much their tails wagged???  OH MY Gosh....it is just humbling for me that these dogs seemed so happy and GRATEFUL. From 1:30 PM until I delivered them to Diane around 7:30 PM  (ok...we stopped at mom's for coffee..) they were just so sweet.  What a

More to come and thank you again to all whose hearts were stirred by this.  I coveted all the prayers and best wishes by everyone involved.  Highway 81 is not the best way to travel (in my little Matrix) in our area with all of the truckers (nothing against truckers!!) and cars going way too fast!!

Thank you to Diane and her 3 daughters for taking these 2 dogs on until I am ready to foster one of them next week.  I felt so much peace today driving to her house knowing they were going to the most wonderful loving doodle "Heaven" place on this earth

You and Mom are angels sent from heaven to help these doodles...I am glad they are safe and on their way to happy, caring, loving homes.  I wish I lived closer I would of been glad to assist and lend a hand.  Diane and daughters .... well you guys are agnels too!  It is so heart breaking that there are humans that can neglect such wonderful, loving dogs, it makes me very sad when I hear stories like this.  But this story will have a happy ending.
