Where do our online friends go?

I was thinking about Jane, Rooney, Stuart the other day. Where had they gone? And then I got to thinking about at least two other folks that I have not seen for some time. I have my page blocked except for friends and could not think how to contact someone that I had not bothered to make friends with. I think folks should let us know, and I would query them if I knew how to contact them. I guess some just have said enough, read enough and are satisfied. But what if thats not the case? I'm giving DH my password (although I usually dont sign out) just in case I cant answer anymore. Does anyone else worry or wonder about folks that are regulars?

Yes, it's very sad. At one time, DK was like a big family. But things change, life changes and friendships fall apart. It's very sad.

Hey Lynne, I don't know how it used to be but since I have been here about a year, maybe a little less, I feel like we are still a big family. Sometimes I have to remind myself this is a doodle website and not a personal blog spot because I feel like so many people on here are such supports to me.

 

Sometimes I have a tendency to want to overshare totally non doodle related stuff just because I love so many people on here. I also find if you ever go to chat, (yappy hour) you will see a bunch of :"doodle sisters" lending support to each other, cheering each other on and offering to beat the tar out of anyone who has upset us.

 

I tend to feel the same way as F, I get upset when people just disappear for long periods of time that are normally very active because I have invested in them, think about them and worry.

 

In the same turn though I totally get it because lately I barely am out of bed for any length of time and have barely been on here..

 

Nice to know we are an awesome group of people that care not just about doodles but each other too.

I do wonder when someone disappears for awhile.  Although I've only met a few DK'ers in person, I really feel that many of the people I've "met" online are truly friends (that shared love of doodles is a powerful connector!).

Yes, I wonder all of the time about members who leave. It's a very interesting dynamic because you get to know people so well... yet not, and they can still disappear on you whenever they want/need to. I wish some people would come back and let us know how they are doing!
