Winter is upon us once again and I decided I would buy Sheeba some doggie boots for the winter weather. We seldom get snow in our area, but this year we've already had snow on the ground for a couple of days. Does anyone have boots for their Doodles? I'm not sure which ones will work best.

Thanks for replying Sandy. During winter, if it snows Sheeba will have clumps of snowballs on her legs and paws. They are hard to remove when I bring her inside. I decided this year, I'll buy some boots for her. I'll check it out on Amazon =)
I haven't tried it, but someone told me to spray the girls legs with cooking spray before letting them out in the snow and the snowballs won't stick. Not sure what the cooking spray is going to make their hair feel like, but guess it might be worth a shot. I've had those frozen snowball legs as well. Lucy had them so bad one time she could barely bend her legs and she still did not want to come inside.
I had never thought of boots for the summer. We had a VERY nasty run in with stickers and Zach is very concerned about cracks in the road and pavement with grass growing through and I almost always have to pull stickers or burrs from his feet when we walk in the park. They might be nice for cold weather also.
Thanks for posting this as I am considering buying Phoebe boots for our very rough MN winters. I will be looking into Muttlucks now! Thanks for helping with the research.
Muttlucks is a very popular brand. They are well worth it!
Off to check out the muttlucks on Amazon - thanks!!!
We live in the mountains and get a LOT of snow. I don't bother with snow boots for Stella and she does just fine. We are very active. There is also a product called "Musher's Secret" that repels snow from their paws that works quite well!
Monty also has Muttlucks, the ones lined with fleece. They definitely help in snow by protecting his paws from not only snow, but also from harsh chemicals and ice melts. The booties go up high on the legs so they also eliminate the problem of snowballs on their legs.
I will be ordering summer mesh booties from the website Christine and Camus posted. The sidewalks get REALLY hot during summer.
But for snowy season, definitely the Muttlucks. We lucked out last winter cause I found them on Amazon for about $25. The usual price is around 50 and you can also get them in your local PetSmart.
Thanks Everyone for your information concerning boots for dogs. I've been checking them out on Amazon and a few other sites, comparing prices. Once I decide and buy them, I'll let you all know how it goes.
