So Ember (who is almost 5 months) and I have been helping out for family who went out of town for 2 weeks and had to leave their 2 English Cocker Spaniels. We lived for two weeks at my family's place, which included a giant back yard, doggy buddies to play with, etc. Tonight we came back home, which is a much smaller house with a small outside area (we take lots of walks). I noticed that Ember has had her tail down and kinda moping around the house tonight.  Do you think she's bummed? I can hardly get a tail wag out of her! Breaks my heart...

Mabye she misses the dog buddies, but I am sure it is not because your house or yard is smaller. The only thing important about your house to her is you!!!!!!

Perfectly said and so true!    I'll bet Ember is back to herself in no time!

aw, thanks :)

She does seem to be doing better today after a good romp at doggie daycare. Tomorrow we'll be visiting family for Thanksgiving and then Friday life goes back to normal. I think she'll adjust... just missing her buds!

Daisy always seems a little down the first day after a lot of excitement. Hopefully she is back to her normal self tomorrow. Maybe she's just in need of some rest after 2 weeks of fun!

Being that she is just 5 months old I would certainly watch for any other signs like loss of appetite and such just in case she may have picked up a little something. Is she UTD on her shots?

My doodles get bummed when we come home from the dog park, they have so much fun they do seem to be sad.  I'm sure she is ok its just a change, I would give her extra love and treats to get her out of her funk.

She's just missing the playmates I think. Maybe she needs another doodle baby at home?LOL!

yep. I think you need another doodle. :o)

haha, I don't know about that.... ;)

Maybe she's just "chillin" after all the activity.  I truly believe they are fine as long as they are with us.

First of all, how did it happen so quickly that Ember is 5 months old? Wow...that went by quickly. I think she just misses her friends. We have a little of this when my daughter leaves with her dog.

I can't believe it either, Laurie! Gone by in a flash!!! 5 months old tomorrow on Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful. :)

It goes much too fast. I am so pleased to hear how wonderfully you and Ember are doing. sweet times.
