Hello,
Our 17 week old puppy Lucca has been the best little puppy...until this past week. It is like he has turned a corner. He has been biting alot and barking much much more. The thing that has been really bothering us is that he barks in his cage non stop in the morning.
My husband and I both get up around 5:45 for work so he is use to getting up early. However, he starts his barking around 5:15 (even on the weekends) and doesn't stop until we get him from his crate.
We did make the mistake in the begining of letting him in our bed in the morning...so I guess we created this monster, but we are trying to break him of it.
Any suggestions....it's been about a week of him not going in our bed and the barking in the morning hasn't stopped.
P.S. we do let him out to pee early and put him back in his crate, so he is not barking to go out.
Thanks,
Casey

Try letting him out to do his business then putting him back in his crate with a stuffed kong or a long lasting treat. He might just fall asleep for a few more hours after that. Worked well with our early morning barker ;)
Django barked in his crate in the early morning and sometime even in the middle of the night. We always took him out to do his business, he just wanted attention, which he gets lots of. But 4:30 AM is not a good play time! We put a citronella bark collar on him and after one spray the barking stopped. We have neighbor dogs who bark a lot and Django was getting into barking along with them, but the collar stopped that, too. I'm not even sure if the batteries still work, because he never barks when he's wearing it. A great invention! Good luck with your little guy. He's adorable!
