Christmas Card Photo Attempt (and fail)

As soon as the kids woke up from their afternoon nap I got a bee in my bonnet to take our Christmas Card photo NOW.  Dressed them in a hurry.  Tried to set up the area, then Blake pooped an "I don't wanna take my photo now" poop.  Natalie was also not in the spirit so for the second time in her life I bribed her with candy (1st time was so she would complete her job as flower girl in my brother's wedding over Turkey day weekend).  She was a GEM once the bribe was in place.  Changed Blake's diaper and soiled outfit, did a practice run.  Went back in, plopped Blake on the couch, leashed Boca, picked up Blake and wrangled Boca out the door.  Put Blake in his Bumbo chair, wrangled the dogs into position, gave them the stay command. Corrected Boca.  Re-placed her.  Only to realize my photo spot was HORRIBLE but it was too late so I had to at least give them practice by taking some 'fun' pics with a but bad background:

OMD does candy work miracles!  She was so cooperative and smiled on cue and was trying to do everything right!  Now if I can figure out a way to motivate her without bribery...

I almost asked for that, but I think I want to try again.  This time where my kids outfits match a bit better (the right clothes weren't clean at the time) and I'm feeling less frantic...this photo shoot stressed me out.   I'd like to get some sun in there so it's less dark and dreary and forecast looks promising.  We shall see. The little one still eats every 2 hours round the clock (except for the occasional 3 hour nap) so he doesn't leave me much time!

How much fun Adina!!! Thanks so much for sharing...these are so adorable..and bribery does work miracles..candy now and money works well when they are in their teens! Looks like they had a much better time than you did!!! LOL!!

I love the 3rd one down, Blake has no idea, the dogs are looking at what I assume may have been a chipmunk (Alvin?) and Natalie has peppermint Striped stars in her eyes. :o)

Natalie is a "natural" in front of the camera...and Blake just keeps getting cuter!  I can't imagine how you get two kids and two dogs to pose for a picture....maybe Photoshop will be your best friend.
